Question about computer issue

I turned on the computer clicked on my google chrome and instead of just one tab popping up I got 3! The 2 extra we're an Amazon search tab and bing search tab. Do I have a virus? How do I get rid of it?

I am using Internet Explorer 9, but your problem almost sounds similar to the problem I had the other day. Download the free Malawarebytes.com program and run a full scan, if it finds anything, click the boxes to the left of the malicious stuff, and click remove . I have Norton all the time, but it didn't find the PUP.FaceTheme trojan my computer somehow got the other day. Good luck!

No.

To the OP, in chrome, click the 'settings' icon (far right, just under the 'close' x). Select 'Settings'. In the new tab that comes up, the second entry 'On Startup', what is selected? If 'Open a set of specific pages' is what's selected, click on the link for 'Set Pages'. You can then add/delete what you want to come up on startup.

Yes, as well as running the malware scan, run a complete virus scan of your whole system. Remember to check for updates and install them before you run it.
You can also check your settings in chrome (Click on the 3 lines all the way to the right of the taskbar, then "settings", then "On Start up") See what is set there and make sure it's what you want. Good luck!

(ha ha... Sam Gordon and I were responding at the same time! Sorry for duplicate content!
