Off site hotel question.... - The DIS Discussion Forums

Hi everyone! We are going to WDW in about 4 weeks, and are staying off site. I was wondering if anyone has ever stayed at a place called Tropical Palms Fun Resort. It looks wonderful, and came recommended, but would just like to here from more people that has been there. Thanks in advance for any info!

You might want to post this question on the Orlando Hotel and Attractions Board. I usually find more off site information there.

We camped at Tropical Palms in March of 1999.
I did not get to see in the cabins but have
heard that they are nice. The pools were fun
also. The location was next to/behind old
town. The drive into the parks each day was not
bad at all. We had a good time.

Hi! We stayed at Comfort Suites MainGate East recently, which is right next to Tropical Palms. Having seen T.P.'s ad, I drove down there one day to see what it looked like. I think it looked fine. I didn't see the interiors of the units, but the outsides were very well kept, and the grounds too were neat and well kept. The property is FAR down a road off 192, behind Old Town (well, not miles, but I wouldn't walk up to Old Town) so that noise and light should not be a problem. Please post a review of Tropical Palms when you get back- I'm interested in what they are like!

leebee, can you walk from CSME to Old Town? There is supposed to be a Busch Gardens Express bus that stops at Old Town. I was hoping to be able to walk their from CSME. Thanks for your help!
