Are the moderates different prices?

For some reason I thought they were the same?

Disney quoted me $440 to upgrade to Caribbean Beach for the week and $600 to upgrade to POR for the week. Both standard rooms.

Yes, all the moderates are different prices. They all have different booking categories which makes the room prices not the same at every resort.

Yep! I also found CBR to be cheaper, so thats the option I went with. I was between POR-R and CBR. So I went with the cheaper option! :-).

CBR is the oldest of the moderates and has been long overdue for a room rehab and queen beds to equal the other moderates. Many moderate guests will not stay there until the rooms are on par with the other moderates. Double beds are for values. I think once the renovations are complete next summer you will see their rates go up.

There are other differences but I think the room situation is why the big gap. You find the same with the values based on popularity. ASMu and ASSP are the least expensive, ASMo is the next, then POP and then AoA being the highest. Supply and demand.

I agree. I think this is what happened after POR's refurb. Currently, I think CSR and POFQ are the most expensive mods. They charge a little more for POFQ due to its small size and popularity, and CSR is a convention resort with a few extra amenities, so it's always been a few extra bucks a night.

I agree, the OP may not have been getting an apples to apples comparison. With preferred views, preferred buildings, preferred suites (Royal-Pirate), weekday vs weekend rates etc., its often hard to get good comparisons if you are not careful to ask the right questions.

I just looked at our normal dates of travel, which is usually early December, and the standard view room cost was the same for both CBR and POR.

Ok I must be losing my mind cause I thought POR, POFQ, and CBR we're all the same price. And just CSR was a little more?

Not anymore. Now with all the different bookable room types you really need to check.

They're also upcharging for POFQ, which is popular because it is the smallest moderate.
