Booking a package when one person (child) has a shorter stay?

Hello! I tried the Disney chat on this one but I was only really told to call the number (something I was trying to avoid for now) so I am hoping someone here knows.

My fiance and I are going to Disney 4/29/15- 5/10/15 and getting married on site. We are traveling with my son who will be in the wedding and staying 4/29-5/4. (The grandparents are also coming and staying separately- possible at a different resort or even off-site so he will be staying with them on the wedding night)

Can I book a package where my fiance and I have the dining plan all days and 10 day park tickets and my son has 6 days dining and 4 days park tickets?
He will be 10 at the time of travel.

Thanks in advance for any help!

No. It's either all or nothing with packages and especially the DP. You could either

A) book 2 packages with the dates the child will be/won't be there split.

B) Book the child onto the package with the minimum amount of tickets you need and upgrade the 2 adult tickets at GR. Use the DP credits he isn't using for yourselves.

C) book the package without the child at all and add him at check in. He won't get the DP at all and you'll have to purchase his tickets separately.

Ugh that's what I was afraid of! Thanks for your straight forward answer... I wish the Disney rep would have been that helpful!

I guess I will try and see if my parents can put him on their reservation. If they are staying at a different resort, will he be able to use the pool at Wilderness Lodge while we are there?

Officially no. And with the WL pool construction coming up there will be fencing installed around the pool and each person will need to scan their Magic Band to get in. Having said that, letting him swim is up to the lifeguards and as long as it's not packed you should be okay.
