Talk to me about Chef Mickey's

We had the Wave booked but I was cruising the menus today for a friend and noticed the dish we were going back for is off the menu

So now Im looking for something else for dinner. How is Chef Mickey's for dinner? We've never done Chef Mickey's. We have done 1900 Park Fare dinner and thought the food was "meh" but the character interaction was good.

We enjoyed dinner at CM. Character interaction and food were both good. It will, of course, be much more expensive than The Wave, so I would only go if you are interested in meeting the characters.

CM does get a lot of hate on this board, so you'll probably have a lot of negative opinions on this thread. We had one of the first seatings at 5pm and I think that helped give us a more positive impression of the restaurant.

We are on the DDP for our FD package which also gets hate, so Im not worried about cost. I also have been reading about CM on the DIS and it does get some negative reviews huh?

If you're going for the food, it's okay. The characters are great at Chef Mickey's.

The wave's breakfast buffet I think is wonderful. Is that an option for you?

We are needing another dinner, and will be in MK that day so I was looking for something close resort wise where we could also see Christmas decorations.

Chef Mickeys = basic dinner buffet

Don't expect anything out of the food- its edible, and its food, and thats the best I can say. If you have been to Old Country Buffet, you know what to expect. Basically you are there for the Mickey/Minnie/Donald/Goofy photo ops/interaction without mega lines. If you don't care about seeing characters, eat somewhere else.
