Garden Grill for dinner

I've never eaten at the Garden Grill. What do you think?

The food was good, was it the best we had during our 8 days at WDW... No. BUT, the photo opportunity was AWESOME! The photos I got from that dinner of my 3 boys with each character was priceless!!!! Best photos of the week. My boys: 13, 13 & 9 (last year) and I didn't want to waste time in lines for pics so I booked this dining experience.
It's served family style and all you can eat. We all ate our dinner & it was good. I think my boys wanted seconds of something but forget what.
The restaurant slowly rotates around the land boat ride so I suggest you ask for the first level (we got the upper)
I do recommend the Garden Grill!

This past trip was our first time dining there. We LOVED it. The food was good old comfort food. Nothing really fancy, but a lot of the food comes from the green house in living with the land. We had sustainable fish from the green house. It was delicious!! And the character interaction was great! Each character came around at least twice. Chip, Dale, Pluto, and Mickey are the characters. Everything is served family style. And I love how the restaurant looks out over the Living with the Land attraction. I say go for it!!
This will now be a must do for us each trip!

Food is good--not great. The character interaction is best on WDW property.

Veggies and salad are usually excellent. The turkey/dressing are straight Butterball and Stovetop. Beef ranges from surprisingly good (flank steak) to meh (filet.)

Dessert is also straight from a mix.

But with the variety, there is something that everyone will like!

Agreed. Great place for families, especially if you want character interaction and Mickey! Food is satisfying but nothing special.but the photo ops are the best!

Unfortunately, I was actually a little nauseated from the carousel effect. I'm probably in the minority for being that sensitive but thought I'd mention it, just in case. I

Our Ratings of Garden Grill: (*rev 5/28/2014*)
. . . food price value: B
. . . food quality: C
. . . food quantity per serving: A
. . . food prep speed: B
. . . food selection: C
. . . seating quantity: C
. . . seating comfort: C
. . . eatery atmosphere: B
. . . eatery convenience: B
. . . staff friendliness: B
. . . staff attentiveness: C
. . . character interaction: B

Our Recommendations:
. . . appys:... Living-with-the-Land Harvest-inspired Farmer’s Salad
. . . entree:.. Turkey Breastwith Lemon Caper Sauce
. . . dessert:. Skillet Cakewith Vanilla Bean Whipped Cream

NOTE1: The eatery revolves within The Land pavilion and portions of spin include farm
scenes from the boat ride. The food is plentiful, but quality merely average. You pay for
the characters and not the food or food quality. Food is served family style and there is
always more, as it is All You Care To Enjoy. Characters include Mickey, Pluto, Chip-n-Dale.

NOTE2: The lower deck tables have one-side seats which can make talking among the
table diners tough, especially if you have six-to-eight people, which takes about 12-feet
in linear distance. This means that you cannot easily stand to interact with characters.
The upper has standard tables that seat people facing each other and you can stand and
interact. I recommend upper tier for characters; lower for viewing the river-ride scenery.
There is little chance of motion sickness, as the eatery moves so slowly. If you do have
a concern, the upper level happens rarely.

We ate there last August, and loved it. It was the best character meal we had all vacation

This will be a solo trip for me, so I won't need the larger table. I made my reservation for dinner on the day of my arrival and am looking forward to dining there. Thanks all!
