Cruise during December.. Too much magic?

We are thinking of switching our January cruise to December before Christmas...

Question is.
December is already so busy. Is adding a cruise and some park time TOO much magic?

In my opinion it is extra magic. My favorite time to cruise/go to WDW is the holidays. Everything is amazingly beautiful. You get the added bonus of the extra activities/decorations.The holidays is my favorite time of year in general so that is probably why it is my favorite. We are not cruising this holiday season and Im totallt bummed about it! Enjoy your cruise =)

If you plan on doing the parks as well and can go during the first 10 days or so of December I'd say go for it. Otherwise "too much Magic" just means "too crazy" to me.

The holiday season is a little hectic for us but that lull works out ok. I prefer to do post-holidays as it tends to get me out of the winter/after Christmas funk.

We have done several cruises at the begining of December as well as several WDW trips and I am done. For us it is too much. It was neat to do once, but it makes the time between Thanksgiving & Christmas feel so crowded. Last year we pretty much skipped Thanksgiving because we were leaving for WDW the next day.

For the parks I prefer the time before Thanksgiving and for cruises I prefer January. It may just be me, but I don't really want a Christmas/Winter feeling while on a Caribbean cruise.
