How much cash to bring??

Hi all,

Quick question..

How much cash should a family of four bring on a 7 day Disney cruise?

I understand that tips are generally automatically tacked on at the end and billed to your credit card, and that some services are not included in this (like room service, I think...). As for off the boat, I had planned on using our credit card but I'm not sure how widely accepted credit cards are (Western Caribbean).

So given that we typically use our credit card for everything, how much would you bring in cash?

Oh, and I'm assuming it's all USD?

Thanks!

Jay

A in USD how much you need is up to you but on the ship it's. As less all charged to your room standard tips cover your food dinner for server assist server and head server. Stateroom host is also a standard tip these are all debited each day unless you pre pay

Extras bar tips automatics 15% spa, porters for luggauge, room service palo and Remy tips. *** for shore trips bingo shopping etc. food is included bar up barge fee for palo Remy .

I brought $500 in ones and fives for our 7 day cruise for extra tips. I spent about $350 of it.

Was that in addition to the automatic tip that is added at the end of the cruise for your stateroom attendant, servers, etc.?

You will also want to make sure to have enough cash (smaller bills) for the following:

porters (at the port for luggage handling)
bellhops and maids for any pre or post cruise hotel stays
taxis in port
tipping for excursion guides
small shopping in ports (most places take credit cards but make sure to pick a card without foreign transaction fees and let them know you will be traveling)

I also usually bring enough cash for extra cash tips on top of the tips charged to your room for the ship staff. In my opinion, they usually deserve it!

Have fun!
