What happens if you book for 2 but only 1 shows up?

At Ohana I can get an ADR for 2 but I am a party of 1. There are no available times for a single party. What would happen if I book for 2 but only 1 shows up? Anyone had experience with this situation? I am very tempted to take one of the spots for 2 diners... after all what can they do? Am I going to have to find a dining buddy?

You will be seated with no problem. I take mostly solo trips and as you have seen, often ADR availability only shows up for parties of 2. I book that way often.

If you don't show up, you will be charged for 2 people not showing, $20.

Book it and don't worry about it. Just advise the hostess when you arrive that you are alone.

Yay! Thank you so much! I booked a table for two and I am so excited. I loved Ohana on my last trip. Now to wait half a year to go...

You won't be charged, our 10 day trip we only had 7 and our reservations were for 10 because my sister bailed on us last minute.

I do this all the time on solo trips-book for two, then show up as one. I figure I might meet my new BFF on my way to the ADR and want to invite them to share lunch. But that hasn't happened yet. Nor has the other scenario, where DH might surprise me and show up (and it would be kind of embarrassing to say "How nice of you to surprise me, but I'll see you later-I have an ADR). So I always just tell the CM that there's one, and have had absolutely no problem at the many places where I've done this.

Nothing at all happens, unless you prepaid.

Just tell them it's only one.

The only way you'll be charged for this is if you don't show up at all.
