Really need the help of the forum on resort choice

I am coming to Disney in 2 weeks with my wife and 2 kids 10 & 7.
We are on a budget and are staying 4 nights. It looks like I can stay at
All Star Music -$120
Caribbean Beach - $158
Port Orleans Riverside - $158
Coronado Springs - $158

What's the best option ? Thanks so much !

I have stayed both CB and POR. I would suggest POR. All of the hotels are great, but I enjoyed the feeling of POR and the boat transportation to DTD!

Agree. POR is a beautiful resort and has boat transportation to DTD.

Personally I would probably choose POR or CSR. Have you looked at photos to see which theme appeals to you? CSR and CBR have nice pool areas, POR is the nicest resort of those choices as far as overall appeal. But I would recommend going with whatever looks fun to your family. Maybe show the kids some pics and let them choose.

Out of your choices, we have only stayed at CBR and we loved everything about it. I think your kids would love the pirate themed pool. With that said, POR looks like a lovely resort and would be my second choice. Good luck.

Port Orleans Riverside is my favorite! Your kids will love the pool area (it's not as exciting as the pirate themed pool at CBR) but it is still a lot of fun playing around Ol' Man Island! Plus, at this point the rooms are in better shape since they recently had the resort refurbished.

With that small a price difference between the value resort and the 3 moderates, I'd just cross off all star music from the list/choices. Now, I've stayed at all of these moderate resorts, and I can tell you they are all great resorts. Since you are going in 2 weeks, I would now (probably) eliminate CBR since the rooms are in need of refurbishment with only double size beds. I say this, but we just stayed at CBR this past August 2013 and our stay was awesome as the pool and main building area is immaculate and awesome. And we did enjoy the room, but they are run down. Disney thinks so, also, which is why a complete room rehab is scheduled to begin April 2014.

So, now I leave POR and CSR in the running. They are both really nice. Interestingly, they both offered boat rentals and CSR ended this option a couple years ago from what I understand. And, POR just ended their boat rentals this past March 2, 2014 (I think I have the date correct according to the unofficial Port Orleans website.

It's kind of a toss up to me, but I would lean towards CRS for their fitness center and spa offering, as well as their great food court.

Even though I suggest CSR, any of the 3 moderates are really nice, and you can't go wrong with any of them. I think, by reading the pp so far, you should have a good idea as to which one would benefit your family the best so now it's time for decision making
