Question on possible sold out resort

So, DH and I leave for the USA in just over 2 short weeks (March 26), starting our trip with 3 nights at the dark side (RPR) and moving over to WDW for 6 nights (YC). We booked a water/lagoon view

I was just randomly browsing the WDW website, looking for a map of WDW to determine some US to WDW transfers, and ended up on the booking page for YC.

It seems that for our dates, the YC is 100% not available. Like, not any of the rooms, including club level and the 2 bedroom suites, were able to be booked.
I used the room only, package and Spring Break offer, all unavailable.

Does this mean it's fully booked?

On our arrival day, I'm hoping to say my teary goodbyes to WWoHP, maybe hit a ride or two at IoA and/or US, then high tail it to WDW to check in and get exploring the boardwalk and maybe HS or EPCOT.

Now, I'm not one who thinks that because it's our honeymoon we should expect special treatment, or generally hope for an upgrade, but what are the chances that they are over booked and will move us? Will that depend on the time of day that we check in?

I booked YC due to its proximity to EPCOT and HS (less time wasted on buses on our short 6 day trip) and I'm not sure id be thrilled to be moved, unless it was a MK resort, but the Contemporary is less $ than we paid (from what I can tell) and I doubt they'd put us at the GF...

I realize this seems trivial, but I don't want to be messing around when we have such little time there!

I have been trying to get into YC that week same week for 3 months. Checking daily! So yes it is sold out. I wouldn't worry about being moved, I've never heard of that happening unless it's a situation where they call people weeks before their trip to move them due to issues with the resort, like a refurb or something. Are you checking in really late at night?? I'm not sure why you would be worried about being moved to a different resort.

They won't just move you, they will have a list of guest that could be moved, and as the show up they will offer them another resort, if they say no, than the next person on the list gets offered to move. I surprise that if everyone says no to the move than eventually they will have no choice. But my understanding is if they know it is way overbooked, the send out emails before hand. Then they do the upgrade to other hotels, but if it comes down to the last two checking in and there is no room than there is no rooms, but then you have the upper hand, and if they say SSI, I would say no I won't consider anything other than club level poly, and at that point if they have no rooms you may get your magic.

We are staying at BWI deluxe cl next month and wanted to arrive a day early. Completely sold out as well. Is this normal for post Easter?

The Epcot resorts are in very high demand during the Flower and Garden Festival.

The weeks around Easter this year will be busy because of school vacations. Some schools have the week before Easter and many others have the week after Easter. I know here in the Northeast there is a wide variety as to which week the schools have off.

I'm not so much worried as just pondering the chances.
I've read on the DIS quite a few times of people being moved due to overbooking.

I love the idea of staying in the boardwalk area for the proximity to two parks, so if they were overbooked and wanted to move us elsewhere, I'd be disappointed.

We are checking in before midday hopefully, so I guess that should give us options, should this situation arise!

The Poly is undergoing a huge renovation just now though, isn't it?
That would be a disappointing move indeed.

And now that I've seen the menus for the food/drink carts in EPCOT for F&G, I'm loving my choice even more, walking back to the resort after a few cocktails will be unreal!

I think the number of people who have ever been moved due to overbooking at Disney is the teensiest tiniest fraction of guests that you could ever imagine. It's very very very rare, even if it seems to you that you've read it a lot here (even here I have only read of it a small number of times in many years).
