Chef Mickeys and Getting There

I'm trying to figure out all our table service meals for our trip in October. We'd like a sit down dinner every night (to unwind for a few minutes ) and a few table service breakfasts (buffet or nicer place).

We will be spending 2 days at MK (no park hopper) with the following dinners selected:
  • Be Our Guest
  • Cinderella Royal Table

Another one on my list is Chef Mickey's at Contemporary Resort for breakfast.
We will be staying at Art of Animation and will also be renting a car.

My questions are:
  1. Would Chef Mickey's work on our Epcot day in terms of transportation?
  2. Would we be better to drive to the resort and then drive to Epcot? Or use Disney transportation? (And if the latter, what's the best route?)
  3. Or is it better to go to Chef Mickey's on a MK day?

From what I see, Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Chef Mickey's are all on the monorail (but again, we'll be coming from Art of Animation resort)

I can't comment on how easy or otherwise it is to drive to CM but for Disney transport, catch the bus to MK and then either walk or take the monorail ro the Comtemporray-its around a 10 minute walk and there is a footpath to the resort. (it can actually be quicker to walk than take the monorail) Then when you have finished either walk back to MK or catch the monorail round to TTC and then catch the Epcot monorail. As for whether to do it on an Epcot or Mk day, I would have it on an Epcot Day-just as I assume you would not want two big meals (and the time they take to eat) out of your MK day.

Great thanks. So if we combine Chef Mickeys with the Epcot day, then we'll plan on driving.

In my opinion, the easiest thing to do would be to do Chef Mickey's on one of your MK days.

You can walk to the restaurant and then back afterwards. You'll eliminate a lot of transportation time.

Just my opinion...have a great trip!
