cancelling a vacation package

I can't seem to find information (other than to call Disney Travel) for cancelling my reservations or what the fees would be.

We have a reservation for September, but we decided we might go over to Universal instead at their new Cabana Bay hotel and do Universal, Sea World, and Busch Gardens - it seems to be a lot cheaper with no Magic Band/Fastpass + headaches.

Anyway, does anyone know how what the fees are for cancelling if we do it now? Thank you so much.

Going to try to do Disney next year instead when all the hoopla dies down!

Fully refundable if you are booked thru Disney.

Cancellation info is in your confirmation email.

There is no cancellation fee if the package is cancelled 45 days or more prior to arrival. If you cancel 44 days or less from arrival, you will be charged a $200 cancellation fee. If you booked through a TA or third party (i.e., Orbitz, Travelocity, etc), you would have to check with them to see what (if any) fees they charge for cancellations.

I just called the reservation line and cancelled my package(we're going to rent DVC points instead) for Oct. Cancelled and the refund can take up to two billing cycles/days.

That sounds like a wonderful vacation!! The new Harry Potter area is expected to be open this summer. We're doing a split stay this year, 3 nights at the Hard Rock and 6 nights at the CR. I thought about staying at CB instead of HR, but, I'm worried about high crowd this summer. The kids should be back in school in Sept, so the crowds should be more manageable. City Walk also has a bunch on new restaurants which are opening soon. It will be so nice to dine without having to reserve a table months in advance and worry about the 2 day cancelation policy.

Come over to the US Resorts board if you haven't already!
