Cute story with teenagers

For those with teenagers...you will love this.

So we were talking about the planning for our upcoming Disney trip. My wife and I are taking 3 teenagers: 18, 17, 14. We said tonight at dinner "I guess since you guys are older we won't do a character meal this trip"

They all looked at me and said "WHY...WE WANT TO EAT WITH THE CHARACTERS...WE LOVE THAT"

I love when teenagers surprise you!

Now just have to decide which character meal...

Love it! And our teens would vote for Garden Grill!

I have teenagers as well and that's a great story! Their love of Disney shows! My kids still enjoy the character meals as well.

Have a great trip!

I think Chef Mickey, Crystal Palace, Akershus, or Cape May are great character meals.

Love it!

On my last trip I had three teenagers (19,16,14) and they did not want a character breakfast but I made an ADR for Chef Mickey's anyway. They had the best time at there and want to do it again next time!

It happened to us where I did not plan a character meal on one trip when we went down and they were teenagers and asked me the next time we go, could we do a character meal?

Their favorite (although all boys) is the Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast.

Character Meals

My three daughters, ages 38, 33, and 20, still want to do character meals (okay, maybe my husband and I do too).

When teens are willing to play along, 1900PF is great because the Stepmother and Stepsisters are as close as you can get to a Villains meal. The teens can be as snarky as they want; the Stepsisters will play right along and then the Stepmother will come and put them all in their places!

I'm seventeen and character meals are my favorite! Cinderella's Royal Table, Crystal Palace, Tusker House, 1900 Park Fare--they're all great! And on our next trip (whenever that may be), we're planning on going to Chef Mickey's!

I love character meals! I had to force my dad to book one at Crystal Palace! He thinks I'm too old for characters.

Wow that is a great story. Teens are really nice people, sometimes they can surprise you. I raised 3 boys of my own and drove a school bus for 17 years, so I know this to be true. I should mention that my DH and I still do character meals together---no kids and we love it. We are all children at Disney World.

Cute Story!

I don't have teens yet, but my oldest kind of slides into that tween category as she is almost 10. On our trip last year (age 9) she insisted that she is too old for princesses....um, ok....

But, as soon as she walks into that Castle Couture store, she loses all control and must have every dress she sees.

She'll be almost 10.5 on our next trip and has already given in. She wants an Elsa dress if we can find one. No ifs, ands or buts about it.

Great story . Our boys will be 19 & 21 this year and we still do character meals. They don't ask for them, but that's probably because they know some will already be planned by mom....LOL. But they always have a great time when we're there, although I think I enjoy them more than they do .
