Spin-off surge protector question

What happens to any surge protector/power strip you bring, but which now is not allowed for onboard use?

Our cruise is the first of a three part vacation, and we travel from Europe. To make charging all our devices (with European plugs) easily, we bring a European power strip and just use one adapter. We'd be fine with the power strip being "in custody" for the cruise, but we'd be bummed if we couldn't get it back afterwards to use on the rest of our vacation.

Anybody know?

Usually, any confiscated items are returned at the end of the cruise. If you have doubts, carry them in your carryon bag. If it's confiscated from there, at least you have a real person to talk to and find out the procedure for getting it back.

Thanks, that's great advice - we'll do that.
