We will be arriving at the Swan (yea!!!!!!!) a week after the official testing period ends. Does anyone know is the testing period just to work out the kinks, and then it is in official working state.......or is the test period to DECIDE if they will continue it?

According to the Dolphin as of today the FP+testing will continue til January 12th.

And just a recap of our experience yesterday....
We went to AM EMH and went straight to TSMM first thing around 8:15am.. Rode with about a 10-15 wait..then leisurely made our way to RnR and ToT with 15 and 10 min waits..rode both. So we were able to ride all 3 headliners in that first hour or so. Then we went and pulled regular paper FPs once the kiosks opened so we could ride RnR again (our car had no music first time around..what's up with that?!

By the time we made it to the front of the park to make FP+ reservations, it was 9:20am. We waited 3-5 mins (4 CMs there with their iPads), and selected our next rides. TSMM was out completely (which we kind of expected.. Hence riding it first thing). All other rides were available with fastpass return times as early as 9:25am. There were 2 tiers of selections. 1st had TSMM, RnR, Beauty and the Beast, Fantasmic. 2nd tier had the rest. We made a couple of choices, then linked our passes to the MDE app. Rides we selected showed up under 'my plans', so we were able to easily keep track. They cannot be revised via the app (so I'd assume you must go back to the kiosk to change any ).

All and all we rode everything we wanted (8 rides) and caught 2 stage shows by 2:15pm. And I would say it was pretty busy for HS.. About an 8 on the crowd scale. EMH is going to be key if you want to ride TSMM.

thanks for the report. We arrive on the 22nd, so that is why I am curious what the "testing" means........soft opening and then officially started or research and stopped.

Unfortunately, we're all waiting to see what reality will look like compared to "testing". Don't think we'll find out until after the holidays. Keep us informed if you find out something.
