Last one was at age 48. I have to say that with the exception of a couple of killer hot flashes it was pretty uneventful.

I am convinced that whomever came up with the idea for dual climate zones in new cars either suffered from hot flashes (or was married to someone who did)

I turned 53 in Sept and still get hot flashes but I've been done with "Flo" for about a year and a half now. So whatever that equals out to.

I'm not middle-aged but my mom was almost 53 when she entered menopause. My aunt, a year older than mom, was 53 also.

I was 45 when I was officially done. Thankfully the hot flashes weren't too bad. I think I got off easy.

I had my last period just before I turned 50. (I'm 55 now). Glad it is GONE. Although I still have hot flashes ... more than 5 years later. WTH?

My mom had an ablaton when she was. oohh I guess 45-ish, and it really really helped her a LOT

she loves having it done and had no regrets.

Our family has a history of really really heavy and llooonnngggg cycles. So they went in burned everything out and shes been great since.

I myself silently suffered from endometriosis for years, it was horrible. My mom just would tell me, thats how women in our family have it, little did she know it was way worse than that. I ended up having a laser lapro to basically laser everything to mush. I felt better for a while, but by two years later I was right back where I had been.

I got an IUD and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it, I never ever get my period, I don't have big hormonal changes, etc.

I was 55. Aside from hot flashes and several night sweats, I breezed through menopause.

AVERAGE age is 51. That means there are plenty before that age and plenty after that age.

Menopause ain't for wimps... TONS of women are miserable before, during and after. Getting rid of the monthly is just part of the process....

I'm still having hot flashes after 6 years. Mine come whenever they feel like it whether it be morning, noon or night. I was 52 went Aunt Flo said her goodbyes to me.
