Favorite Breakfast places

We are going in Jan to run the half marathon. I need some suggestions for breakfast places with good food (must have waffles) especially for the day before the race. We had thought Chef Mickey would be a great idea (healthy options and not so healthy for the non runners in our group), but I'm reading reviews online that the food is bad. What are some of your favorites? Also I read back in Jan that when they were putting in the Starbucks on Main Street that tomorrowland terrace had a good breakfast. Is that gone now?

They have a small buffett at the Wave at the Contempary. Has some nice healyth options along with a few not so healthy lol. And definitely waffles. Also, its great because its non character so the price is nice!

Think I just might dine there myself the day before the race!

Boma at the AKL has an amazing breakfast buffet! I'd suggest there or Kona Cafe, just depends if you want a buffet to carb load or a sit down meal.

Yes absolutely to both!

I also like Whispering Canyon Cafe at the WL.

Chef Mickey's is nice, especially if there are some younger ones in the group. Crystal Palace in MK also has a good breakfast buffet with characters. Like a PP said, Boma is wonderful. Of the three, i'd pick Boma.

Another vote for Boma (buffet) or Kona (TS). Boma does not have Mickey waffles, but they do have waffles. Both venues have a lots of really good options and can be quite filling!

The Wave at the Contemporary has a wonderful buffet and for those who don't want it you can order from the menu as well. I love their sweet potato pancakes with maple pecan butter.

We didn't think much of any of the other breakfast items we tried at The Wave, and dinner was incredibly underwhelming, but those were some of the best pancakes I've ever had in my life! Definitely worth the trip here, as long as you all get the pancakes.

We always have to go to Chef Mickeys a couple of times every trip for little grandson. My dh has requested that those be for breakfast from now on. We thought the breakfast there was good much better than dinner for us.

Tusker, tusker, tusker!!! Best buffet on property hands down. In addition to waffles and lots of fresh fruit some truly good and different options. Get a late breakfast ressie and you can enjoy lunch as well.

The Character buffet breakfast at Cape May in the Beach Club Resort is one of the best buffets in WDW. Lots & lots of variety anytime we've dined there. Always crowded, reservations are a must.
