Hoping for post-cruise recommendations

We are booked on the Dream 12/22-12/26 and are looking for a post cruise recommendation for 3 nights. We are staying at Cocoa Beach for 2 nights before the cruise so we would prefer to go somewhere south of Port Canaveral. We have two kids (9 & 11) so we would love to find a family friendly condo/hotel/home with a pool or beachfront/ocean front (will it be warm enough to swim?). We are willing to drive 2 to 2 1/2 hours. I've only been to Florida one other time and we stayed at WDW so I know absolutely nothing about any other area.

Any ideas, recommendations, thoughts???

Thanks so much in advance!!

Edited to add, we are currently booked at AKL post cruise but we are thinking we would prefer a more relaxing stay after our cruise.

I have never stayed there, but I have a friend that recommends Ron Jon.

Have you thought about the DVC - VB resort.
It is about 1.5 hours south of the port on A1A.
