We will be driving from MCO to WDW and then from WDW to Miami and then Miami to PBI.. We often drive from north florida to south florida so it will be helpful.

We bought our transponder at Publix last year & move it between cars as well. With 2 or 3 trips to the park or DCL, a year, it does make "things easier".

We did the same thing earlier this year! And not only do we move it from car to car- we go into the website and 'register' the rental so that they don't go nuts.

It makes things so much less stressful there. And doing a couple of cruises in the next few months- it saves a lot of stress there too!

It depends on where/when you got your EZ Pass. My wife and I each have an ezpass from Virginia and there we do not have to pay any fees. New transponders in VA now have a 50 cent or $1 monthly fee. The $1 fee is for a EZPass Flex, which is used for the new High Occupancy Toll lanes. If you are in carpool with 3 or more people, you can flip a switch on the flex transponder and travel in these lanes for free. If you have fewer than 3, or have the original/50 cent version, you pay a variable toll, based on traffic conditions. I think as long as I have my old transponder, I will not have to pay any monthly fees.

We also bought an E-ZPass On-the-Go at a grocery store in New York for one of my daughters to use. That also does not have any monthly fees.

Ordered my Sun Pass last night and loaded it with $30, just hoping it arrives by 10/31 when we leave NJ.

If you go once or less than once a year, I don't think it's worth it...

Also, if you are driving to PC directly from NJ (ie not coming from WDW) you will not hit any tolls.

If you drive to MIA, you don't have tolls if you drive down I-95 instead of the turnpike.

We go 1-2 times a year. We got the 4.99 sticker just to try it. Driving from NJ to WDW first then WDW to DCL then DCL to Vero. Only care about WDW to DCL because we want to be at the ship ASAP and don't want to be stuck behind people sitting and paying tolls. Our EZPass here has spoiled us.
