Port to disney resort using Disney transfer

What is the disembarkation process and timing if riding disney buses from port to disney resort ? Does everyone leave at the same time and just start filling up buses or are you assigned a specific bus at a specific time? Thank you

When you disembark the ship (whenever it works for you), you will claim your bags in the terminal, take them through customs, and go outside the terminal. There is a CM there that you check in with, you will be directed to a bus. Hand your bags to the driver and board the bus. Busses generally leave when full. The bus may stop at more than one resort, so you may be on there anywhere from an hour to two hours before getting to your specific resort.

Thanks that helps, so just to confirm you can take your time eating breakfast in an MDR and then just leave for the bus (and customs, etc) as long as you are out by 9am?

You don't want to be on the very last bus that waits (and waits) for stragglers then makes several stops at WDW -- just my luck my hotel would be the very last stop on the route.

Yes, you would leave when you are ready (as long as it is before they escort you to the doors!). You would get on the next bus scheduled to your resort (they are usually limited to 3/4 resorts per bus, so it isn't terrible but can add onto your transfer time.) As the PP said, you can leave at your leisure but do avoid the last bus. We have been on the last bus. You do wait at the terminal until they can confirm that the ship is clear. They may try to have it only be 3/4 resorts but if there are stragglers, there will be additional stops for that bus and they will do it in the order that makes sense geographically. So the stragglers may be the first one off even though there are only a couple going to that resort. We were lucky, we had a wait at the terminal but we still were the first resort stop.
