Since spiders are suppose to be outside I would leave it. Besides their webs will catch other bugs like mosquitoes. Spiders are good.

Just curious what most people would do. My family is horrified that I insist on leaving them alone (as long as they aren't in the way of any "traffic").

First there was one giant web and spider and now there are three. But I see that beautiful web and I just can't bring myself to do it. And some small part of me does worry that these spiders will start enacting revenge on me if I don't keep my distance.

If they are near the bushes, I leave them. I sweep my porches daily, so if they are there, then the homes will be demolished. I hate walking up to someones porch and it is covered with webs. I just cringe.

DH "relocates" the spider. Indoors he catches them in a glass and takes them outside. If there are any on the screens, he catches them with a rake and moves them to someplace I can't see them.

I am not as kind.

I leave the outdoor spiders alone. If they're indoors, it depends on what species they happen to be. I usually capture them in an empty pill bottle and then release them outside.

The sac spiders are always terminated.

Get the bug spray! I use to leave them. Then, something kept biting my dogs and they would have allergic reactions.

It is easier to just spray around outside to prevent them.

If it is outside I leave it. I know where it is and avoid it. If I were to knock it down, then I wouldn't know where it went and it may build a web somewhere else and I might run into it.
It's only funny until someone gets hurt... then it's hilarious.

Giant spider, giant spider web? It's done. DS plays outside all day and it's not worth him even coming in contact with it. However we did find a baby King Snake the other day in the kitchen (not a clue how it got in) and it just got swept outside.

I hate spiders. I mean, really hate them. I cried at the end of Charlotte's Web not because Charlotte died, but because all her little creepy spider babies were rushing all over the place!

But, if a spider is outside, I don't bother it. Spider webs outside only get torn down if they are in my way.

Spiders inside are DH's job to get rid of. DS loves spiders so we don't kill them, they get relocated outside where they belong. If DH is not home, they get captured for release when he is home.
