Disney "Mistake"

Hi All...

I'm a newbie and was hoping someone could tell me if this would be collectible or not.

I recently acquired a Disney Princess and Me doll. The princess inside the sealed box is quite obviously Ariel. But the packaging all says Rapunzel. Is it worth it to keep this? Or did I "waste" my money on the doll?

Thanks in advance!

My instinctive guess says that it's not going to be worth anything extra just because it's in the wrong box. They're current toys being sold at mass market retailers and nothing indicates they're limited edition, collectible items, so I doubt they'll appreciate significantly in value.

My feeling is that anything worth collecting really isn't going to make you rich. You collect it becuase its fun to you and you like it. Now adays most people save everything they loved growing up get and keep it in good condition. So your really not going to make millions at auction on anything collectable unless you get something very unique like a piece of a ride or something. Lol anything mass produced is worth its weight in as much as you love it or not.

I used to do a lot of toy collecting, and these kinds of packaging errors do almost nothing for value. They aren't like stamps or coins where such errors are big deals. The quality control for packaging is not as precise since, well, they kinda expect you to open the box anyway.
