Recent Dream or Fantasy cruisers

Is boarding starting earlier, now that 10:30 is the earliest arrival time?
Thanks

How could the crew have time to clean for the next load if they let people board earlier?

Exactly, among other demands. I'm surprised at the new port arrival times. (PAT)
The port is crazy at 10:00am. I've read about people being turned away at the PC gate at 10:30am, Dream Class previously. Perhaps they have streamlined operations or added staff.

The port is going to be a total zoo now early, with the early PAT, platinum's, concierge, and the upgrader's.

The DCL buses from the resorts are sounder better and better. Arrive after the madness, and walk right aboard after checkin. Say around 12:30 - 1:00pm I feel will be the new sweet spot. But I guess that has always been the spot.

I boarded the Fantasy on 9/14. I'm not sure if that date had the earlier PAT or not. But, I did arrive on the Disney bus from MCO around 11:30am, and things were strangely quiet: essentially no line at security, and no line upstairs at Castaway Club check-in. They had declared open boarding by 11:45am. Even the CM that checked me in said that things were strangely quiet. I'm not sure if opening the doors 30 minutes earlier would have that effect.

I just got off the Fantasy this morning, we had the 10:30 PAT and arrived just before 11. We were checked in and on the ship by 11:30 (boarding started about 11:15) we were boarding group 2.

Maybe since I've only done the one DCL cruise I don't know what a busy port looks like, but when we took the bus from the resort it seemed pretty busy to me! There was a line out the mickey head entryway. We had booked a category V so things were a little smoother for us, but it still seemed pretty busy. (this was Feb)

We had a 10:30 PAT two weeks ago. I posted this in another thread:

We arrived about 10:15 and were allowed in the building a minute or two after 10:30. Checkin was very fast and we received boarding group 2. As it happened they called groups 1 & 2 at the same time so we were among the first families on board. Actually the first downstairs at Enchanted Garden.

However, I don't think I would do it again. We waited over half an hour for the restaurant to open. Cabanas, the fast food places and the pools all were scheduled to open at noon although we didn't venture up to see if that was the case.

I didn't notice exactly what time groups 1 &2 were called. Maybe 11:10 or 11:15?
