I'm sure Disney wouldn't go running to the newspapers about this, and unless the victim called the papers, how would they know this happened?
I'm sure there are plenty of things that go on that we never hear about, because the person isn't publicizing it and Disney keeps it quiet.

Let's see them. Nobody knows (ok maybe a few people) who it is anyway.

Hope he's ok.

I have a hard time believing this story

I have encountered two snakes at WDW and bothb times Sir Hiss slithered away at the sound of people... I have a hard time believeing the sounds of SM didn`t scare the snake off. Not to mention the wealth of mice/food would be near trash, and that`s on the ground.

I admit I`m not an expert, but it`s hard to believe

Sorry, I disagree completely - plenty of things like this 'do not' happen all the time at Disney. There are always witnesses to most things that happen in this type magnitude, and Disney could not dare try to suppress it!

Glad the kid is okay. And I believe your friend told you about it.

I am having trouble understanding how the snake was identified or was it caught? SM is pretty dark during the ride. And snakes generally live after biting (not like a bee, for example, that might die when it stings you). Did he capture it? Was it still hanging out in the ride when they "landed."

Were the pictures are after the snake was captured?

Now if this happened when the lights were on that would've been the ultimate horror story

False. They have them to keep their prey firmly in their mouth.

Actually, it's true (as I discovered after a 30-second Google search). Only venomous snakes have fangs. The rest have teeth, but no fangs.

I had something alive and well land in my lap on ToT....thank God for the pitch dark and the restraining belt, first bc I couldn't see what it was, and 2nd bc I would have jumped off the ride if I could! I don't know what it was bc I grabbed it and flung it as hard as I could (My apologies to the people in the front row if I hit you in the head)

Sorry to say...

Rebecca, but I bet it was a mouse that landed in your lap, and that might explain what a snake was doing in there - looking for dinner and he lost his grip up in the rafters. I believe the OP - why would she lie about this? I just hope they gave the kid a free ticket to return, at the very least!

*I just saw you said ToT...there's probably mice in there too!
