I literally don't think I'd survive this. Shock, heart attack, stroke. That combined with heart a racing adrenaline pumping ride would do me in. I am not kidding. Or I'd go literally insane. That's how much I hate snakes. I don't care how common they are in FL. You sure don't expect one on a ride!

i'm not unusually frightened by snakes (more fascinated than fearful), but one "dropping in" unexpectedly would scare the @#* out of me

glad to hear the boy is doing well (i see no reason not to believe the OP - the entire situation and outcome were not likely relayed to all of the attraction CMs)

I don't know what to tell you. When I posted this I knew to expect some people would say it was fake, someone always does. All I know is this woman is trustworthy and I've seen pictures. I'm sure there are some people who would come up with this elaborate story (I just stated the general information, not all the issues they had with the hospital, that had her flying him home), but she is not one of them. What would be the purpose of a fake story?!? It's not like she's trying to sue or anything. She said Disney was fantastic throughout the whole ordeal.

Fake or not, just the idea of a snake possibly falling on me has now made space mountain much much more scary for me.

I'm glad he's OK

Am I the only one that thinks this is begging for a Samuel L Jackson movie ?

I've got questions here, it's darker than a tick in Space Mountain, he saw it drop, felt it drop, it was still in there when the ride stopped! It seems both odd to me and disturbing at the same time!

it's not to say it can't happen but it just seems strange...

I rode SM twice this week-end, thankfully I didn't read this on Friday! The crowds were near to non-existent, it was fab!

I find this hard to believe as well. What are the odds of a snake falling into a moving coaster, and biting someone(through his pants or shorts)?

This story would have made the local news and CM's would have knowledge of what happened.

Whether the story is true or not, the odds of this happening again is probably 0. Even with the 16+ million people who visit WDW each year.

"Snakes on Roller Coasters" would easily make any type of local news.

Snopes.com talks about it as an urban legend. http://www.snopes.com/critters/snakes/carousel.asp

Samuel L Jackson made a mint on "Snakes on a Plane", and loved making it, as horrible a film as it was, perhaps this is the sequel!

When I was twelve years old, my arm was knocked off and quickly devoured by a snake while I was riding Space Mountain. Fortunately, I wasn't decapitated that same afternoon. Because that snake was HUNGRY.

Our local news reports on WDW accidents, etc.....not one word about this incident.

Whatever caused his discomfort...I hope he is ok.

Edit...just binged and only thing that showed up were posts on Dis trouble maker board...word for word.

Sorry, but I don't for one moment believe this. The things that people will try to get started is beyond me.

This would have been all over the news - no way to keep it quiet, if something like were to actually happen.
