What if you're not sure of your dates? Could you potentially book and later move your dates so long as they still fall within the BB period?

Absolutely! When I was there in May I just called and threw down the deposit on some random days in October, and once my schedule firmed up mid-summer I called and changed it to the October dates that actually matched my schedule. And then just a few days ago I called to add on a few extra days!

Thanks! This is exactly what I plan on doing. Picking some random dates in October (going for the Room discount - hoping for 35% on BC!) and then firming up with DH later next year.

Yeah just toss down any random date, and then later you can modify it as your plans firm up. I'd recommend taking the Bounceback page home with you, so that when you start making proper plans for when to go, you'll be able to see which dates are and aren't included. You don't want to book something random then later change it to dates that aren't included in the Bounceback by accident

The FD BB being offered currently starts in August of 2014 but in 2013 FD didn't start until September. We go in August every year so if we didn't book the BB last year we wouldn't have gotten fd.

When in Nov/Dec does bounceback switch over to the room only offer for the following yr? We check out 11/17 and are interested in RO deal for Nov 2014, not FD.

We just returned from 10 days at Pop with free dining that we booked last August as a bounceback (had to upgrade from QS dining).

Ok, just to be sure, this is what I'm hoping I can do:

Book a BB offer for next year, for the 2 of us, but may add to our party. Also, thinking of using room discount, but might end up using FD instead, and might switch the resort along the way. All of this is acceptable, as long as I'm in the system before I check out, correct?

I'm not sure it is possible to switch from one BB offer to another after the fact. I know you can change your dates and am pretty sure you can add to your party, but I think you have to choose one offer and stick with it.
