Thank you so much for the wonderful report!

I am sorry that you did not enjoy Disneyland that much. I absolutely adore the original park and even liked DCA before its refurbishment. To be honest of all the three "Magic Kingdom style" parks I know (DL, MK, DLP) I like the MK the least. On my two visits to DL I never had problems with rude teenagers or unfriendly CMs. And I think you did not miss anything by not going on the canoes! On my first visit to DL, I thought this was the most pointless ride ever!!

Goes to show different strokes for different folks. Of those same parks WDW Magic Kingdom is by far superior (maybe becuse it's my first )

It will always be my favorite too, but I am a Florida girl so I am definitely biased. Just got a notice today from WDW that I'll be testing the new magic bands on my September trip Already have fastpasses for my favorite rides lined up

Fun report! Thanks for sharing. Sorry you didn't care for DL as much.

I still really want to see it someday. Carsland looks fun, I really hope that the rumors are true that they are going to bring that, or a version of it to WDW

Thank you for writing such an in depth trip report with all the great pictures. When I was reading about your impression of DL it made me think that often times we're most comfortable with our own surroundings. The first time my family went to WDW we kept looking at the peeling paint and moisture damage on some of the facades, or the cast members that treated you like you were invisable while you got on rides because they were talking amongst themselves. We kept making comparisons to DL saying that would never happen they're painting nonstop there, and so on. Since we've been back to WDW again we've grown to appreciate it as the different place that it is. Such is DL a much different place from start to finish, people that have grown up going there will tell you it's just as magical for them when they spend a day there as any place in WDW. You did happen to go during grad month so yes things were even more different then the rest of the year, so sorry your experience was so disappointing. I will say to spend just one day there is to not even try to really see all the wonderful and beautiful spots it has to offer.

Thank you so much for all of your time and effort that you put into this very informative trip report.
We are doing this cruise in May 2014 and you have given us a very good idea of what to expect.

Again, thank you!

I enjoyed reading your report and seeing your awesome pictures! We'll be on the WBPC cruise next May, and plan to do 2 days in DL afterwards! I especially liked your restaurant information for DL!

Thank you!

Oh! And I wanted to add that Phillipa Gregory was my author of choice as well on our Alaska cruise this summer! I read "The Kingmaker's Daughter" a few years ago so this trip it was "The White Queen". Perfect vacation reading!

Great report!
We've been talking about his for the past week or so, it is definitely on the bucket list! We are floridians too so I'd like t see DLR but a little nervous since I'm so spoiled by having WDW an hour away whenever we feel like it.

Thinking maybe we do this in 2016 or2017 depending on if they still offer it. Maybe the new canal will be done so it will be o one of the other ships by then, or at least the wonder will have been refurbed by then.
Thanks for your report!
