FastPass+: What if I miss my time window?

In the past we have always been able to use our paper fastpasses AFTER our time window if we missed our time (one cast member said as long as you didn't come BEFORE time they generally honored them).

Has anyone who has tested the new FP+ tried to use them AFTER their time window? Did they still honor it?

Highly, highly unlikely. From what I understand though, you could reschedule an unused FP+ to a later time, even after the window has passed. Someone will correct me if wrong.

From the FAQ:
Quote:
Q. If I miss my FastPass+ arrival window, do I lose my opportunity to experience the attraction?

A. We understand that there are many unexpected situations that may arise and cause you to miss your FastPass+ attraction arrival window time - but dont worry! If your plans change while at the park and FastPass+ experiences are still available, you can modify your selections online with your mobile phone or at a FastPass+ kiosk.

Please try to make changes to your FastPass+ experience before the start of your arrival window time. If you miss your time due to circumstances beyond your control, please speak to the Cast Members at the attraction.

While you may lose the opportunity to use an attractions FastPass+ entrance if you miss your arrival window time, all operating attractions still provide a standby queue where you can wait to enjoy the attraction.

You can be up to 15 minutes late or 5 minutes early for your one hour slot. If you do not show up, you can make another fastpass reservation but you may not be able to get the same experience. It depends on availability.

Just wanted to add to the OP that they stopped honoring the paper FP after the time window also.

Well, not always. We missed our one hour window for Buzz Lightyear tonight because we were at CRT for dinner. 40 mins late went to the CM at the fastpass entrance and said, "I know we're past our window..." he looked at the passes and waved us through.

Thank you everyone for your help! I'm getting ready to do my FP+ right now, knowing they will be stricter on the time window I will have to be more careful with times around dining reservations. And I am DEFINITELY going to grab the app.....

we never had a problem....however, it was usually Disney's fault, the monorail broke 3 times twice with my kids on them, they lost our luggage once for 3 hours and the bus lost our son...yup long but true story.

They were very accomodating.

Sounds great! Not a fan, now, of FP+ but this alternative gets more interesting...

Glad we'll get to test in this October!

Where is this info coming from? This sounds suspiciously like the phantom "15-minute grace period" that allegedly applies to paper FP-s, and whose enforcement is intermittent.

I wouldn't count on being able to use a FP+ any later than your allotted window.
