Okay so we will be arriving after driving about 8 hours. No plans to go ANYWHERE, just stayin' at WL

We are not go out to eat kinda people - more like grab a sandwich and a beer and hang out.

What should we be sure to do that afternoon/evening? Looks like there's lots to do - just curious what others think. It will be summer (ie: hot and sun up late)

Not too late, hoping for a birthday breakfast at CRT the next morning...

If you just want to grab a sandwich and a beer and hang out at the WL, then there is Roaring Forks for the food, and either the Trout Bar by the pool or the Territory Lounge for beer, wine and cocktails. They have other foods at the TL, too. The main pool has a slide and two hot tubs. And if you position yourself properly in the one hot tub, you can watch the Old Faithful geyser go off hourly, right in front of you, while gazing out at beautiful Bay lake.

If it gets a little noisy at the main pool then you can walk over to the quiet pool at the villa. The pool area is heavily shaded, great if it is really hot out. And the pool is really nice, too. There is a hot tub by this pool, too.

If you feel like getting out a little, you can walk or ride the boat over to Fort Wilderness. Crockett's Tavern would supply your beer and sandwich needs, and they have pizza, too. If you want to see the fireworks from MK but don't want to travel too far to see them, you could hop the boat to the Contemporary. You can watch the fireworks from the fourth floor observation deck. You can see the highest fireworks from the beach at Fort Wilderness.

And you can relax on your balcony. Hopefully you'll have a nice view.

We had a great 1st day yesterday! The CL CMs are spoiling DD rotten! Everything is beautiful! The weather was great! My hair actually didn't frizz! The humidity is low, I think I may straighten my hair again today We did MK yesterday and it seemed busier than what touring plans is saying. And, I am not a fan of the Fast pass+, well at least the testing. We are not doing the testing this year, we did test it last year without the the bands. It creates longer wait times for the " poor unfortunate souls " who are not doing it and it is for a lot more attractions now. I am noticing some real snippy fp+ CMs. Doing AK today then dinner at BOG tonight. Any questions? I'll try to answer. No posting pics though, too challenging for me

You have to have an account that hosts photos, like Photobucket, in order to post pictures to a site like this. You upload your pictures to your account, then you get a link to the picture which and then be posted here.

I have a question. Do they have the RFID mugs at Roaring Forks?

Yes, you will be given it at check-in or if you are staying CL, it might be in your room on the table. The Bounceback offer isn't obvious any more. It used to be a large paper clock that would be sitting on the table in your room. Now, it's stapled in the middle of the "Be Our Guest" guide. IMHO, they are not doing a good job of advertising the Bounceback offer by hiding it in the middle of a booklet.

We had to look even harder for ours....it was in the VERY back of the BOG booklet left on the table. If I didn't think to look, we would have missed it! Yes, they certainly don't seem to be promoting it too much.

So excited, just sat down to plan when I start my vacation. I am leaving from NC for Florida next Friday (9/6) so I knew that I had 4 days of work next week. But lets add a little Labor Day into the mix and I only have to go into the office for 3 days then our road trip begins. Good thing as my mind is in Disney mode and definitely not work mode.

Next Friday we'll head to Georgia and spend the night there. Saturday we'll head down to the in-laws for the weekend in Boynton Beach FL. I will try not to notice when we pass Orlando. However I am looking forward to a Hot Pastrami sandwich at Bens restaurant while I'm there.

Monday morning (the 9th) my DW and I will finally arrive at our first visit to the WL. We will be celebrating our 30th anniversary!

I still can't decide if we should go to MNSSHP. If we did go would anyone here suggest going on a Tuesday (9/10) or a Friday (9/13)?

Hi WL fans!

We are booked for our first stay at the WL in January. And we know very little about the WL. We have been to WDW 10 times and we have only been to WL once for dinner.

We booked standard view with a PIN code I received. Will our view be bad?

How is the transportation? It is buses everywhere except for MK (boat)? Or can you take a boat to the TTC and monorail to Epcot?
