Made Final Payment Today Now I Have Questions

Happy Friday Everyone!!!!

Huge Sigh of Relief I MADE FINAL PAYMENT TODAY!!!!

We are DCL first timers so I am unsure about everything.

Our 120 day booking window is next Friday the 16th.

Is booking a Cabana in Mid December worth it on Castaway Cay?

How do I know what night I should book our Palo Dinner Reservations for?

How do I know what nights to book BBB for our Formal Night and Pirate Night?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated......

I am assuming that you are concierge. So you can confirm which nights are formal night/pirate night with shoreside concierge. Otherwise you can look at Navigators for cruises similar to yours (the special nights tend to stay the same from cruise to cruise of similar type).

For Palo, I'd look at the menus for each of the restaurants and special menus and decide which looks less appealing and book Palo on that night (we usually book on Pirate night for two reasons -- 1 don't really care for the menu; 2 having late dinner we can be running late to Pirate party so we can book Palo a little earlier and go to the party if we want to.)

As for if the cabana will be worth it in December is really a personal call. We've sailed in December quite a bit and weather can be hit or miss. It probably won't be as hot as summer so whether the little touches of the fans and cold cloths in the frig are going to be as meaningful -- probably not. Depends on your reasons to get the cabana in the first place. If you are worried about weather, you could book it and then check the weather right before sailing and make a final decision (you have until 3 days before sailing to cancel without penalty).

Because you mention booking at 120 days, I figure you are Concierge?

Are you sailing on the Fantasy? That's the only ship with BBB. Formal night is usually the first sea day and semi-formal the second to last night. As to the pirate night, you can check out the Navigators here: http://disneycruiselineblog.com/ (under the "Cruise Planning" tab) to see what night it typically falls on for your cruise.

Platinum CC members can also book at 120 days.

Since you are concierge, first thing I recommend is to get in touch with shore side concierge NOW and don't wait until the 120 day mark. Concierge will take your requests NOW so they can be handled actually prior to that 120 day mark. Nothing will show as confirmed on your reservation until midnight that day. However, it has been confirmed by several posters, as well as shore side reps through them, that concierge requests are entered into the system prior to the 120 day mark as long as you are PIF. Their system auto confirms everything that has already been sorted out previously.

Thank You for all the advise.

I contacted Shoreside Concierge a few minutes ago and gave them all of my requests....

Should I still wait up till my booking window opens up and confirm everything??
