Haven't Been on a 3 Night In a While -- Questions

Going to book the Dream for this winter.... we haven't been on a 3-nighter in a while so I have a few questions for recent Dream cruisers:

1. What are the dining rotations? (Trying to plan our Palo night)

2. Has the dining service improved since inaugural year? We went twice that year and the service was mediocre to average. I'm bringing in-laws new to DCL and I'm really hoping the service has improved alot.

3. How long are the wait times to board if we get to Port at around 12:30 pm? What's a better time to simply "walk on"? We don't need to be there first.

4. How much is parking directly at the Port now?

5. Any tips on things to avoid? Trying to make this cruise as stress free as possible.

6. How much is typical/average for tips at Remy with no wine pairing? I'm giving newbies a budget, so I'd like to make sure I include this kind of stuff since they have no expectation or idea.

TIA!

1. What are the dining rotations? (Trying to plan our Palo night) One MDR each night, signature menus only. No pirate menu.

2. Has the dining service improved since inaugural year? We went twice that year and the service was mediocre to average. I'm bringing in-laws new to DCL and I'm really hoping the service has improved alot. Our dinner service on our last few Dream cruises was much improved over the one we took in October 2011.

3. How long are the wait times to board if we get to Port at around 12:30 pm? What's a better time to simply "walk on"? We don't need to be there first. We usually come early but by 12:30-1:00 you should easily be able to walk on.

4. How much is parking directly at the Port now? I believe it's $15 per day, so in your case it would be $60.

5. Any tips on things to avoid? Trying to make this cruise as stress free as possible. Try to use the stairs, if everyone in your party can, for just a deck or two. If it's crowded after shows or before dinner, try the forward or aft elevators instead of midship.

6. How much is typical/average for tips at Remy with no wine pairing? I'm giving newbies a budget, so I'd like to make sure I include this kind of stuff since they have no expectation or idea. Personal preference but I've seen everything from 20% of your $75 cover to $75. The service is consistently stellar.

TIA!

1. What are the dining rotations? (Trying to plan our Palo night) We requested to have either ARE or RAE. We wanted to have Palo early on our last day and EG is our least favorite. We received RAE.
2. Has the dining service improved since inaugural year? We went twice that year and the service was mediocre to average. I'm bringing in-laws new to DCL and I'm really hoping the service has improved alot. We had a better dining team on our 3 night than we did on our 5 night on the Dream in 2012. Our team was excellent. (Angel & Flavio)
3. How long are the wait times to board if we get to Port at around 12:30 pm? What's a better time to simply "walk on"? We don't need to be there first. Not sure we had 11-11:30 PAT and arrived a few minutes after 11 and was onboard by 11:35.
4. How much is parking directly at the Port now? $60 for a 3 day.
5. Any tips on things to avoid? Trying to make this cruise as stress free as possible. Since it was just DH and I, we skipped all the shows since we had already seen them.

6. How much is typical/average for tips at Remy with no wine pairing? I'm giving newbies a budget, so I'd like to make sure I include this kind of stuff since they have no expectation or idea.

TIA!

We are sailing on a 3 night dream cruise September 12 and this was in an email disney cruise line recently sent us.

" Pirate Night begins when you don your very own buccaneer bandana and enjoy a delicious pirate-themed dinner. "

It seems like we might have a pirate dinner menu.

I believe that's just the standard statement that DCL uses to promote Pirate night. On the 3 night cruise there is no Pirate menu. Each MDR serves it's own Signature menu. There is, however, a pirate buffet after the fireworks. It's generally tacos and desserts.
