I don't work out, BUT if I did, I would listen to Macklemore's Can't Hold Us on a continuous loop. I could seriously listen to and sing that song all day long. The full version, of course, not the shorter versions they play on the radio.

I've been playing the Zombies, Run! app A LOT lately (it's a fitness app with a serial-style zombie apocalypse story, and 3-4 times during a 30 minute run you suddenly hear "Warning, zombies detected" and you have to book it like the undead are on your tail) and every time Can't Hold Us comes up during a zombie chase, it is the best run I have ever had in my entire life.

With that in mind, my running playlist has taken on a bit of a dark post-apocalyptic feel (because it's hard to take terrified "They're right behind you! Don't look back - just RUN!" warnings seriously when you're running to Ke$ha and Katy Perry...). Lots of David Guetta, Florence + The Machine, Ok Go, Arctic Monkeys. And the entire Danger Days CD by My Chemical Romanace - OMG, that whole album is just made for running from zombies.

I tend to like the older songs from the 60s - 80s, from when I HAD energy. Hoping there is still something left over in my muscle memory from my youth that will keeping moving like I used to.

I'll have to add some of these songs.

My best song, when I'm really pumping away on the exercise bike is the theme from Rocky 1. It really is motivating. I need more songs to follow up that one though. Most songs aren't that fast in my current playlist. I think I'll add on Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody and Pink's Let's Get This Party Started and some Black Eyed Peas.

I also love having "I Sing the Body Electric" from the original Fame movie ahead of Rocky.

These are part of my feel good/cardio playlist:

Simply The Best - Tina Turner
Life (will never be the same) - Haddaway
Fame - Fame soundtrack (the Original)
I Sing The Body Electric - Fame soundtrack (the Original)
Holiday - Madonna
Born To Be Wild
Come On Eileen - Dexy's Midnight Runners
Believe - Cher
Last Dance - Donna Summer
Turn The Beat Around - Gloria Estefan
Dancing Queen - Abba
Mamma Mia - Abba
Shadows Of The Night - Pat Benatar
Forever Your Girl - Paula Abdul
Rocky (Gonna Fly Now) theme song
Burning Love - Elvis
Saturday Night Fever soundtrack

Plus, almost anything Disco. That genre has a strong, fast, workout beat.

These are more inspirational than with a fast beat: (But you will need warm up/cool down songs too, if working out. )
Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now - Jefferson Starship
A New Day Has Come - Celine Dion
One Moment In Time - Whitney Houston
The Best Of Times - Styx
We Are The Champions - Queen
Man in the Mirror - Michael Jackson
(I am) Beautiful - Christina Agulliera
(I've Had) The Time Of My Life - Dirty Dancing

I'm adding Kelly Clarkson's Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You) to my playlist.

Just look at the video. I love how she has real looking people in it. And not all of them are skinny minis.

And I don't know why I didn't think of it before, Cyndi Lauper's Girls Just Want to have Fun:

I put my 82 Foo Fighters tunes on shuffle. Pretty consistently a good workout beat.

Favorite FF workout song is All My Life. Beat tends to match my jogging cadence
