husband wants to go by rail to Dover, how?

I need some more help. Thank goodness you are here or rather there?? LOL We are going on a cruise out of Dover. There will be 5 of us. I have transportation booked by car already but my dh wants to go by rail. If it isn't too much money I thought he could go by rail and the rest of us would still take the car. I am so confused though on how he would do this. I look up the rail site and I think he can go out of Victoria station to Dover, but how would he get to Victoria station from Heathrow? And how much would that cost? He wouldn't have any luggage as we would take it all with us, and he doesn't mind traveling by tube. What is the easiest and best way to get from Heathrow to Dover by train. If anyone can help me I (or rather my dh) would appreciate it.

If you want to get to Victoria by rail/tube you can either get the Heathrow Express to Paddington and get the tube from there to Victoria (District/Circle line will take you there directly), or get the tube (Picadilly line to South Kensington and then District/Circle to Victoria).

Alternatively you could get a high speed train from St Pancras International to Dover which is a little more expensive but should cut a significant amount of time from the London-Dover journey. To do this you can either get the Picadilly line from Heathrow all the way to Kings Cross St Pancras or get Heathrow Express to Paddington and then the tube to Kings Cross St Pancras.

It's much cheaper but a bit longer to use the tube for the full journey into London from Heathrow as opposed to rail/tube. The full journey will be quite expensive though IMO. The train journey from London-Dover will probably be more than £30 in itself.

Travelling today a ticket would cost between £40 and £50 and take between 2 and 3 hours depending on the route.

You can use this webiste to see options:

Thanks for the link. I have looked at all the prices and it looks like it will cost him over $100.00 Can to go by rail. That would include getting from Heathrow to Victoria station as well as from the Dover rail station to our hotel. I am really not sure it is going to work but will be talking to him tonight. He is booked on our transportation already and it isn't going to cost $100.00 for him.
