How strict is the Artist Point dress code?

Last time we went I wore a sundress and I still felt WAY overdressed. This time, I was thinking of a dressy top and cardigan and flats with red jeans (not like bright red in your face red). Is that TOO casual or should it be fine?

They won't throw you out for that. In fact you will be more dressed up than many of the other patrons.

The only items of clothing that are disallowed are: swimwear, torn clothing, hats and tank tops for men, and tee shirts with "offensive" slogans or graphics.

You'll be fine.

Slacks/pants/jeans are common.
Shorts on men are frowned upon, but they won't ask anyone to leave just for wearing shorts.

They don't do tank tops, bathing suits, or such things. Mickey t-shirts don't fit the bill either, but I've seen many in the signature restaurants over the years.

"Resort casual" is the official code - which for us girls covers anything from dresses, pantsuits, slacks, jeans with sweaters, dress shorts... a lot of territory.

There is nothing about the dress codes for the signatures (except Victoria & Alberts) that says you can't wear a Mickey tee shirt. They only prohibit "offensive" shirts.

I have seen some jokes about Universal shirts maybe being "offensive."

Tank tops (for men) and bathing suits are definitely mentioned in the written guidelines.

There's nothing wrong with men wearing shorts at a signature restaurant (except for Victoria & Albert's). As long as they aren't cut-offs or swimming trunks, they are fine. I don't even pack slacks, jeans or khaki's when I go to WDW.
