Great update! But I have to ask you, Dani. Why are you grabbing Betty's imaginary breast?

Just wondering! I noticed others commenting about following you on twitter. What is your twitter name? I would love to follow too!

I'm so sorry to hear about Snifter's passing. Big hugs to you all. You did the right thing for her. It's a tough decision to make but when you think about your pet's comfort above all, you know you made the right call.

As a completely random aside, I love the photo of the duck.

Awww, I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. That's always a tough thing to go through.

On to happier things... your company gives you guys unlimited vacation!?!? I need to find a job like that! My fiancé has 5 weeks of PTO, and I thought that was really good, but unlimited?!?

I believe I said this already somewhere online, but Matt's tattoo looks so good! Have you seen the limited edition Haunted Mansion shirts they're selling online in August?

I hadn't heard the rumor that they're getting rid of Muppet Vision 3D! It was the last Muppets-related project that Jim Henson worked on! Does that mean nothing anymore?!?

I love your on-ride photos! I think they capture the essence of the moment very nicely!

I also mentioned on IG, but I'm so sorry about Snifter. Having lost 2 cats, I know how awful it is to lose a member of your family that gives you unconditional love.

On a brighter note: you will be in Disney before you know it! For longer than you originally planned! And getting to stay at the wonderful BWV (unless your wait list comes through which would be super awesome too) So yay for the positive things going on I'm glad you have trip planning to provide you some distraction.
Aw thank you. We miss that little kitty very much, it's been hard.

I am very excited to get back to Disney though, that thought always brings a smile to my face! And yes, even longer thant we planned!! I'm excited for BWV, OR if we get into VWL a day earlier, too! Planning trips definitely helps with the hard times, for sure!

Second, if I was an animal I would be a Disney Duck. Man, they've got it made! Can you imagine just hanging out riding Friendship boats all day?! Lucky! Haha!
Bahaha, thanks! That's just how I roll I guess!

I SO AGREE! I want to be reincarnated as a Disney Duck! THAT is the life, I swear.

Hahaha, thanks! And yeah, it's so hard. Our lovely little pups have been keeping us going, but it has its hard moments. Slowly but surely things will get better though.

We like to have our daughter pose next to Harvet Korman. The leer he has is completely creepy but he is awesome! I love all of those people!

You look like you are in horrible pain in that picture! I will be laughing about it the rest of the evening because I know you did it on purpose!
Awesome, we'll be there, so if you see us, say hello!

I don't know, I think I missed her, as well! But not this time, I had to say hello to that lovely lady! Some of those statues are of serious creeper status though.

I know, it honestly kind of looks like I just pooped my pants or something. And Matt is screaming, "WHYYYYYY?"

Haha thank you! We are total dorks.

And yeah, it really is heartbreaking... We miss her so much. But I know she's in a better place now...

I was out all day and couldn't get it to work on my phone. I thought all was lost since I couldn't check again until the next day. And the 3 was still there! So I went ahead and booked it, but made my fake person a child, so the initial debit from my card would be less, and I will just have to remember to cancel. All that to say, I'll be there the 14th, too, along with my mama, who is a super fun Disney person. I can't believe we'll be missing each other that extra first night, but yay for a super fun evening of Wishes Dessert Partying!,

I feel like I really need to give the statues a little more of my time and attention this year.

I love meeting up with people in Disney who you don't normally get to see!

Another epic picture!! Seriously, you guys rule at this!!!

Disney ducks are the best. Seriously, it's like the know they live in the most magical place in the world and really appreciate it! Like this one, just chillin on the Friendship, soaking up the scenery, and enjoying all that is around him!!

So sorry again about your kitty. Losing a family member, human or furry, is never easy.
I am SO excited that you got the reservation! That party is going to be a ton of fun!! I had a feeling you'd get it no problem, since that had happened to me before in the past. Weird bug with their online reservation system, I swear! Ugh. BUT YES, I'm excited to see you there!

I love those statues, but I'm also a nerd. Who takes photos with statues.

And I agree! It's always a good time...

I want to be a Disney Duck in another life, I swear. It would be magical. I would just eat people's french fries and sit in World Showcase every day.

And thanks, it's been hard, so much harder than I ever thought, but we're surviving!

Thank you so much. Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to our beautiful little girl last night... we're going to miss her beyond belief but it was time.

I am so sorry.
Thank you. <3

HA, I remember that Bob Newhart photo from page one!!

OK, I have to say it. I have no problem with change and I am over the moon excited at the prospect of Star Wars Land (and even Cars Land), but please please please do not destroy Muppetvison to do it. I believe this was Jim Henson's final project so it would be an absolute crime to get rid of it.

Isn't it amazing that no matter how much we all visit WDW, we continuously notice new things. And not just new things but really cool new things. Ahhhhh

Disney nuggets are seriously some of the best nuggets anywhere.

Oh man another brilliant ride photo. You guys are awesome!

Ah Disney ducks. Why fly/swim when you can get driven or floated or whatever? Thems some smart ducks.
Thank you Rob!! It really never is an easy thing...

Hahaha, I was wondering if anyone would remember that photo as my intro photo! I'm so with you though, it would be an absolute crime. SAVE THE MUPPETS DARNIT!

Yes, it really is amazing. There is SO much detail that goes into it all, it's impossible to know everything... which is why I never get sick of it there!

Disney nuggets are the best! I love them. I can't wait to have them in my life again.

Bahaha, thanks, we're dorks. Ride photos are neverending with us! And yeah, I'm coming back as a Disney Duck in another life. Done and done!

matt's tattoo is awesome! you guys found a great artist!

I've never seen those statues before and I LOVE DHS. where are they?

I don't think I've ever had the Disney pizza...but that pic is making me seriously hungry right now!

as one of the kids I nanny would say.....another "epic" ride photo. love the kissy faces, but matt's is cracking me up!!

and the duck....too funny! love how's he's just hanging out up there like he should captain the boat.
Thank you very much... Our pups have been keeping us going. That and knowing she had a wonderful and long life!

Matt's tattoo IS awesome, and he gets it completely finished in a week and a half! I can't wait to post photos of it done!

The statues are on the way over to Star Tours/Muppets Vision! I always love stopping and taking photos, clearly, hahaha.

Disney pizza isn't too shabby, really! Not amazing, but not bad!

Hahaha, I love that you chose epic. It pretty much is an epic photo!

That duck was just straight chillin', and living the life!

Hmm…I’ve heard more and more bad reviews about the French Press coffee recently, maybe it really isn’t that good? Hahaha. Tonga Toast is like, the reason I make adr’s for Kona, I LOVE that stuff, SO MUCH NOOOOM.

Ahahhaa the “be that statue” game! Best!! I love the Poly, I definitely plan on staying there again!! MAN! The amount of work they’ve gotten done on the GFlo’s DVC’s is incredible, just from May to June it’s insane!

Lawl! We definitely heard Springtime for Hitler from the Producers on a DHS bus, they’ve got some WEIRD music…

THAT’S MY FAVORITE PART OF TOT!! When you think it’s all done, but NOPE! UP AGAIN! Ahahaha….

So sorry to hear about your cat

Yay for extra time in Disney! Now we arrive the same day! Eeek! Ahha I’m so incredibly excited to see your guy’s costumes, like, cannot wait!! The tattoo looks great!! Make sure to be BATHING it in sunscreen in Sept!! I feel ya on the time flying by, like, I had months to go and then BAM I’m doing online check in, like WHAT?!

Yay! *muppet dance* My gosh that is an attractive ride photo on RnR! Heck yes. Wonderful updates! I’m excited to read more!
Haha, totally! It's not a terrible feeling. I like mornings where we explore other resorts, it's very relaxing!

Yeah, I don't know what the deal is but they were not feelin' it! But the Tonga Toast is worth going there alone!

I love the Be the Statue game. It's way too much fun!I can't WAIT to see how the DVC at GF looks... and I want to stay there, even if just for a few nights!

Hahaha, they really do have BIZARRE music on those DHS buses!

NOOOOOO, I do NOT appreciate that little fake out one bit! I had no idea they did that. WOMPWOMP.

YAY I CAN'T WAIT! It's so awesome to have my costume all done, and Matt's is almost there! I need to buy some clothing dye to try and get his overalls completely dyed, then his costume is basically near-done! YAYAYAY!!

Bahaha, thanks so much! Hoping to have another update here later tonight! I need to get this TR DONE... so I'm hoping to start cranking out updates to get it finished up before September!

Which MNSSHP are you guys going to? We're headed to HS on the 13th for the Villains party and going to the Halloween party on Fri the 21st - if I see you, I'll say hello
Aw yay! I'm so glad you decided to comment and you have enjoyed my TR!!

We are going to MNSSHP on September 17th! We thought about doing it on the 13th, but decided we wanted to wait and do the party on our anniversary! But we will be at the Villains party on Friday the 13th, along with everyone else who is probably heading over there, haha. It'll be really fun to check it out; I think we are going to head there from Epcot after dinner at around 8ish! So if you see us, please say hello!

Oh my gosh, it's so okay. We have been so, so busy and I'm just now getting my time back to be on the DIS. It's been a CRAZY few months. But thank you so much for the kind words. It was so hard saying goodbye to her, we miss her a lot, but time does help heal... <3

Yes, our company gives us unlimited vacation... isn't that insane?! It's obviously nothing you can abuse, but it's really awesome to have! And even better, they just announced that we are getting 3-day weekends for the month of August! Like, what company does that?! PAID FRIDAYS OFF, no big deal! I'm so excited though.

I HAVE SEEN THEM! I literally made a note on my calendar to buy the t-shirts for Matt and me on that specific day in August! Like, they're amazing. I can't wait to buy them!

Yeah, I heard that but I hope it's a totally false rumor. You can't get rid of The Muppets!

Bahaha, thanks. We just make the dumbest faces possible.

Thank you so much. It's so hard to say goodbye to a pet, like you said, they just love you unconditionally. But coming home to our doggies definitely helps ease the pain a little bit. That and knowing she had a good long life... but we still miss her tons.

Before I continue with my TR...

I'm back! Sorry I went MIA there for a bit... like I said, my friend was visiting, and work got insane, so I haven't had much of any time to DIS. BUT I am back! And I kiiiind of have a fire lit under my butt to get this TR done, especially since we're only 48 DAYS away from our September trip. I can't EVEN believe it.

Speaking of which, some of you guys heard the news, but our waitlist for Wilderness Lodge came through! So we'll be staying there from Sept. 11th-15th, then switch over to Beach Club Villas from the 15th-22nd! We are super excited that our wait list came through, because it'll give us an extra night at Wilderness Lodge... and now we are DEFINITELY heading over to Magic Kingdom as soon as we throw our stuff in our room! I also did online check-in for our stay at Wilderness Lodge today, so we REALLY are super close to our trip!

AND in other awesome news? We are signing all of the paperwork for our DVC membership tomorrow! After we get that taken care of, I have to send everything into the OCC office in Florida, wait for them to record the new deed, then send it back to me, then I send EVERYTHING to DVC, where we then OFFICIALLY become DVC members! I'll keep you updated on when that happens, but tomorrow is the biggest step in all of this!

Okay, enough blabbering from me, onto the rest of our Day 8 on our lovely vacation!

Chapter Forty-Six: Momma Mia, Momma Mia!
Day 8: January 24th, 2013

Now, as I mentioned during a previous update, we were expecting a special guest for this evening... and that guest was... MY MOM! Or as I call her, Momma Mia.

My Mom travels for her a job A LOT, and just so happened to be lecturing in Tampa while we were in Disney World, so she decided to make a little trip over to Disney World to meet up with us for dinner and hanging out around Epcot!

My Mom actually had arrived at Epcot earlier, but since we were taking a mid-day break, we told her we'd meet up with her at around 4:30. Bruce, Amy, Matt and I all headed over to Epcot at around 4:30, but my Mom told me she had JUST gotten on Ellen's Energy Adventure.

OF ALL THE RIDES MY MOM COULD CHOOSE, she went with Ellen. HAHAHA, my Mom cracks me up.

Since we knew she'd be on that for a while, we headed over to Club Cool for some refreshing soda... and to give Amy and Bruce the Beverly treatment.

Here were both Matt and I, SO excited to laugh like little 5 year olds at their reactions...

And... nothing. THEY DIDN'T EVEN THINK IT WAS BAD. In fact, they thought it was a pretty nice palate cleanser.

I thought they were crazy... and both Matt and I were disappointed by the lack of a reaction, hahaha.

We left Club Cool and watched the beautiful fountain for a bit.. I love watching it!

But then we split up from Bruce and Amy, because they had their own ADR over at Teppan Edo. Since my Mom was still on Ellen, Matt and I went to MouseGear and bought a Mickey Mouse Premium Bar air freshener and a Brave pin...

buuut of course, I failed at capturing this purchase for some reason.

I stopped to take a few photos of the monorail/just Epcot in general, both of which I really liked.

But the next one was definitely my favorite.

After stopping for photos, we still had a bit more time to kill, and there was no line for Mexican Donald, so OBVIOUSLY I needed to meet him!

He was kind of adorable. And it worked out that I had my Donald headband/bow on today.. buuuut I forgot to show it to him! Wompwomp.

My Mom found us at 5:30, which was perfect timing for our reservation at San Angel Inn!

After giving my Mom hugs and catching up real quickly, we were seated in a great spot near the Volcano.

We put in our orders and were brought out the delicious chips and salsa... which always has a spicy kick to it!

Matt went with the Mole Poblano, which has Grilled chicken breast served over a bed of poblano rice, with the classic mole, made with nuts, spcies, chilies and a hint of cocoa

I decided to go with the Carne Asada, because I can never NOT get carne asada. This was New York strip served with cheese enchilada, black refried beans, red bell pepper, onion, Mexican rice and guacamole.

My photo of it was terrible because the lighting in this restaurant is basically non-existant, but this gives you an idea:

My Mom went with the Tortilla Soup, then decided to also get a quesadilla. She enjoyed her food, but I think she didn't love the sour cream because she wasn't really used to authentic Mexican sour cream, haha.

We ended our meal with the Helado de Dulce de Leche, which was basically caramel ice cream, while Matt went with the Crema Bavaria:

We caught up over a delicious dinner, which was really fantastic as always. San Angel is a total hidden gem, and reminds me a lot of the Blue Bayou in Disneyland with the ambience/setting. You have a ride that goes right past the restaurant, which is really neat to see.

After we paid for dinner, we headed outside and the moon was beautiful this night!

I think World Showcase is my favorite at night. It's no longer feeling like you are walking on the surface of the sun, the lights are all on, and there is a really awesome vibe to that area.

Luckily, Bruce and Amy had just finished their dinner, so they came over to Mexico to meet up with us.

Amy and I REALLY wanted to get margaritas, so we headed over there as a group, and then decided we needed some photos with our margaritas.

Amy was trying her darndest to keep that sombrero on, hahaha. You'll probably remember this from our trip video, as we shook maracas with our margaritas and over-sized sombreros.

We also grabbed a photo with my mom (aka, Momma Mia), with our lovely sombreros on, hahaha.

We continued on with our stroll around the world, stopping in Norway so Matt and Bruce could buy some Norwegian beer... and that obviously called for a BFF photo of the two of them. I love this photo!

After they grabbed their beers, we strolled on over to China to take a quick looksie around. I never realized how beautiful the China pavilion is at night!

Chapter Forty-Seven: World Showcase and a little photo shoot!
Day 8: January 24th, 2013

The moon was crazy that night, since it was very clear out!

We continued on, marching through Germany, where my Mom wanted to stop by and look at all of the Christmas ornaments.

Obviously a photo of the pickle tree was necessary. I love that tradition! I didn't know about it until my old co-worker gave me a pickle ornament for Christmas to hide in the tree... and now that I think about it, I'm not sure we ever found the pickle. It is quite possibly still sitting in our tree right at this very moment, out in the garage. Welp, better keep an eye out for a rogue pickle in the tree come Christmas time! HAHAHAHA.

Pickles aside, my Mom was super into all of the cute ornaments in there. She seriously took like 50 photos on her iPhone, hahaha. My Mom's kind of hilarious.

After we left Germany, we decided to take some nice little photos nearby... I kind of look a little drunk in this photo, but I wasn't, I swear.

Bruce and Amy looked all sorts of adorable. I loved Amy's Norway hat.

While in the midst of our photo shoot, a little child was having a serious meltdown nearby... to the point where I decided to take a photo.

This probably makes me a terrible person for taking a photo, but this kid was DONE. His Dad let him throw down though, and away from the crowds, so props to him. But yeah, he was rolling all over the place...

ANYWAY, we got back to photo-taking, and this one of me and Matt isn't really my favorite photo ever of us, but it works, hahaha.

We moved on from our photo sesh and hit up Italy, Japan, and France. Haaaaave I mentioned how much I love World Showcase at night? Because I do. A lot.

We decided to go find a spot to watch Illuminations from, and found one over in England. While we waited, Matt went to get us ice cream while Bruce and Amy went to get some fish 'n chips!

Illuminations was beautiful as it always is, though the lady in front of me thought it was necessary to hold her camera ABOVE HER HEAD for photos/video. Nope, not annoying at all. Buuut I dealt, and got a couple of photos, though I was not really in a position for great photo-taking unfortunately.

My Mom seemed to really enjoy Illuminations, which was great to see! After the show finished, I hugged my Mom goodbye since she had to head out to her hotel as she had an early flight back to Boston the next morning.

It was wonderful to spend time with my Momma Mia in Disney World, and she really was the first one to get me into Disney in the first place, taking us when I was 6 and then 12! In fact, here are a few throwback photos from when I was 6, hahaha:

I miss the days of Yellow Mickey ponchos! And my Mom's awesome hair, and my Dad's short shorts. And also my brother's stubbornness when he refused to wear ponchos while it rained.

Buuut anyway, back to the present.

We left Epcot, then headed back to our room... where we spotted cute bunny rabbits outside of the Villas!

We did the most boring thing that night.. LAUNDRY. Wompwomp.... but we also ate our cupcakes from Starring Rolls. They were super smushed and deformed, but still just as delicious as always.

Our plan was to go swimming while we did laundry, but I completely conked out on the bed. I felt bad because Matt ended up having to do all of the laundry by himself. I'm kiiiind of the worst sometimes, but I didn't intentionally fall asleep! I was just pooped I guess!

Tomorrow, we enjoy breakfast at what became one of my favorite spots, spend our last time at Animal Kingdom, and have a wonderfully relaxing/laid back day!

YEAH YIPPY WOOHOO MOMENTS!

1. Trying Tonga Toast for the first time!!
2. Seeing the Polynesian and really falling in love with it even more than before
3. Meeting up with my statue BFFs
4. Seeing/spending time with my Mom in Disney World!
5. Meeting Mexican Donald
6. Eating at San Angel Inn for dinner, yum!
7. Margaritas/strolling around World Showcase at night
8. Illuminations!

WOMPWOMP MOMENTS!

1. Slower service at Kona
2. Brazilian Tour Groups overrunning Sunset Blvd.
3. Getting faked out by the Tower of Terror
4. Bruce and Amy not being phased by Beverly
5. Me conking out early and leaving Matt stuck with doing all of our laundry

Looks like it was another great day! I was laughing so hard that your mom chose to ride Ellen?!?!!?! Hahaha! I love the throwback photos! So cute! I do spy a sea world poncho....

How did Amy and Bruce like Teppan Edo? Your dinner looked great! I've been debating adding that ADR to our trip.

You're almost DVC members!! YAY! Hope y'all are keeping your heads up after your loss. I'm sure once you get the word that you are DVC official it will definitely help to cheer you up a bit.

HAHA the Beverly reaction picture is so funny to me because they just seem very thoughtful about it.

AMAZING monorail photos. But I feel like me telling you how great your pictures are is kind of redundant at this point. So until further notice, just know that your pictures are THE BEST.

Oh how I LOVE San Angel. Of all the ADRs from my May trip, I tend to miss that one the most! Everything is just so perfect... being in the WS, the atmosphere of the whole Mexico pavilion, the food... the service was great for us too. You just really can't go wrong there!

THAT PIC OF YOU AND AMY WITH THE SOMBREROS AND AND MARACAS AND MARGARITAS. You're kind of my idol.

I love the pickle tree! I wonder how many lost pickles get left behind every year. It's a sad fact!

Adorable throwback pics. Our yellow ponchos are definitely shoved into some box... somewhere!

Hey, don't feel bad... people are always saying "when ya gotta go, ya gotta go" but I prefer "When ya gotta sleep, ya gotta sleep."

Your mom is pretty!!!!

I have to say, those Beverly faces are pretty dissappointing. Lol.

Here is an awesome one to make up for it.
