I have to laugh at myself because I did both orange and green, and for some reason green makes me feel sick but orange doesn't! What is wrong with me?

Green is kind of boring for our family. You just sit there and push a button. We do orange once per trip. I say go for the orange and then if you don't enjoy it you can do green in the future.

Tried the green side in '12...really enjoyable! Actually saw the ride this time. Even convinced my mom to ride with me (she was not happy with my orange choice before) after I assured her it was much better.
I had a similar experience. I did the green first though. But when riding the orange as soon as it started to take off I knew I was in trouble. And I too felt weird for a while after the fact...I was very disoriented and naseous and went to the room to lay down for a while. And what amazed me is I can ride anything without a problem, I have never gotten ill from a ride but there is something about the orange side that did not agree with me haha

Even the Green makes me woozy. This is the one ride at WDW I just can't handle!

As someone who has only done Orange, my vote is none of the above.

Hate that ride. I'm kind of a daredevil with rides and will do anything, but nothing has ever made me feel so claustrophobic. I had to close my eyes and pray until it was over. Horrible.

Orange!!

If you're not claustrophobic or sensitive to motion sickness, you'll be fine. And even then you have to follow the instructions: keep looking straight ahead, don't turn your head and don't close your eyes.

If you're not sure, try Green first, then Orange if you think you're up to it.

Hahahaha.

Seriously, I've done orange many times and it never bothers me. Tried green last time and it made me sick. Orange didn't.

Has anyone tried some of the over the counter motion sickness drugs before riding the Orange side? Curious if they helped or not. We were too chicken to ride Orange last time because we didn't want it to wreck the rest of our day.

Absolutely Orange...without question. This is my favorite theme park ride in any park. I remember my son's first time, he was probably no more than 7 (he's 15 now)....during liftoff when you feel the g-forces, he shouted, "I can't lift my arms!!!" He thought that was equal parts hilarious and cool.

I was hoping that reading this thread would convince me to go for orange next time, but I'm no closer to deciding

Only been on it once, did green because I'm a big scaredy cat. It was confined and that creeped me a little bit but I was ok. I'd love to try orange but I really am being a coward!

I am very claustrophobic and I can do this ride. I just have to prepare myself...

But I've done both, orange only once, and that was before they came out with the green. The only reason I don't do the orange side anymore is the older I get, the worse my motion sickness gets. So if you get sick... go green!!!

Orange really isn't any worse than the pressure you feel when riding a carnival ride like Gravitron or a round-up (the kind that spins you around and sticks you to the wall), and you only feel that pressure twice--at lift-off, then during the moon slingshot. That said, when I rode Orange in May, about an hour later I got a really weird, bad headache and sense of nausea that stayed with me for a couple of hours. I attributed it to Orange, but YMMV. It's the only ride that has ever made me motion sick.

I did find it really tight in there, though. I'm not usually claustrophobic, but I did feel a bit freaked out by how close it is in there.

Green.

Did Orange 3 or 4 times and loved it but then I got contacts and got a really bad headache riding it. I think since I'm near sighted having the contacts in with the spinning and everything messed me up (as weird as that sounds). So now I do green. Green is still cool, but orange is definitely a more intense experience and I guess green does seem pretty weak/pointless sometimes without the spinning.

I guess I prefer orange but have to ride green.
