I'm not anti-Nassau. I'd like to book Aquaventure thru CI&S sometime, but we only have one cruise with a stop at Nassau booked. DH wants to do the walking tour at some point also (we are staying on the ship in Oct., as we are on the first Magic cruise after dry dock and need lots of time to explore and photograph).

I've been on 4 cruises that stopped at Nassau. The first time, we got off, walked around, did the glass bottom boat tour, shopped (bought nothing), and were very underwhelmed. The next 3 stops we stayed on the ship (well, DH has gotten off for WiFi, Starbucks, & to take pics of the ship). The ship has 'slightly' less people, but A LOT of people stay on the ship, which surprised us (especially on the 3-night cruise we took on the Dream). Just wanted to toss this out there for those of you who think you are going to enjoy a fairly empty ship......

Honestly nothing there really jumped out at us as "we have to do that." Our first trip we got out and walked around the port area hitting the shops. Our Sept cruise is only a 3-night so we're treating it as our sea day.

For us it's just that the ship is more fun. There's nothing that we can't live without in Nassau so we just enjoy having a less-crowded ship for a few hours,
