Hi All!

The fridges at POP, is there a freezer section to it or is all just a fridge? I wanted to put some bottled water in the freezer part and use that as ice to keep things cool.

No freezer section, just a fridge. Post #2 of this thread has a picture of the fridge so you can see what I mean.

Bummer!
This is my first visit and would like to see how others have kept their items cold?
My first thought is just grab ice and put it in a plastic baggy, but I imagine that's not going to last too long.

Any other suggestions?

What items are you wanting to keep cold?

Gotcha. For water, we each have a refillable britta filtered bottle that we refill with ice water from the counter service locations. We don't carry anything else that needs to be kept cold because it's tough to do. I guess ziploc bags filled with ice is your best bet. Sorry I can't be better help.

Thanks for the reply. "When" FD comes out I'll be able to upgrade and get my freezer!

Does anybody know if I can bring alcohol from home into the resort? My DH and I want to bring a little unwinding after a long day at the parks and the kids are sleeping cocktail. I've already checked with the FAA and they're cool with it. I want to make sure POP is too....don't want to get in trouble lol

You sure can. And if you run out of what you bring with, you can restock at the gift shop.

Ooh....really?? The gift shop sells alcohol?? That's awesome! Lol We just want to have a little adult time after the kids are asleep and unwind with a drink on the "balcony" overlooking the pool.

I think we're going to pack a couple bottles of honey and use the soda machines for a mixer.

first time at POP

This will be our first time at POP. I'm sure this has probably been addressed but I didn't want to search over 200 pages.
Which buildings are best for seeing illuminations?

After a few stays at Pop, I learned here (no surprise that you can request a fan for your room. It got me thinking, can you request an desk type chair for your room? Sounds like an odd request I know, when we are there we will need to do some work and an office chair would help a lot with my bad back.

On the very first page I found this:
Illuminations Views: The very top of the Epcot Illumination fireworks can be seen from the lakeside upper floors, 50s buildings 2,3, and 60s building 4.
Along with this link for a POP map: http://i962.photobucket.com/albums/a...oriesFINAL.jpg

The very best view of illuminations would be building 2 (Jukebox building), lakeside, top (4th) floor facing north (and then hope you don't have any tree's blocking your view). With that being said you will only be able to see the tip top of the fireworks displayed from illuminations. Not sure what type of room you requested/paid for but this location would be considered a standard room.

Our very first stay at POP we were in building 3, lakeside on the 4th floor facing North. We were able to stand outside our room and see the tip top of the fireworks. We loved the room but by no means was it a full view of illuminations.
I just don't want you to be disappointed
