The next day, at AK, heading to EE, we find out EE is stuck and that the riders have to walk down. Both kids get excited and want to get stuck on a ride. Once again, their wish is granted - on Dinosaur. We get stuck twice. Maintenance comes out both times and there is applauding when we finally make it back.

To this day, getting stuck on those two rides is a high-light for DD and myself (DS felt that the magic was a bit ruined seeing the dinos with the lights on, DH just goes with the flow.)

So, are we weird?
Totally not weird at all--especially when you're familiar with a ride and it's not your first time riding. PPs have noted that often a ride stops to let access challenged individuals embark and disembark from ride vehicles. But sometimes those stops really are operational problems. At MK in May, I got stuck on a hill on Splash for the first time. I would have preferred to have ridden all the way through, but it was a real kick in the head to be evacuated off of a lift hill, and fun to be walking around backstage.

At DL, I've been evacuated from a boat on PotC in the middle of the village scenes (after a 45-minute delay)--we were walked right through the village and audio-animatronics too!, and taken off of a too-heavy SM rocket (there they divert heavy rockets backstage on a special track, so more backstage goodness.) In fact, I was kind of bummed at MK in May when WDW's Space went down just as my rocket made it to the exit station. One ride later and I might have gotten that treasured Space-Mountain-with-the-lights-on ride!

I will say, for people who go to Disney parks less frequently, getting stuck might be annoying or even scary. So everyone's MMV.

We were there in May/June and were stuck on Pooh for 20 minutes and they escorted us off.

We love it! My dream is to see Space Mountain with the lights on! We had to walk off of TSM last may. Not the the most thrilling ride to get to walk through but we got to walk through the entire ride. They absolutely do not like you taking pictures of being off the ride- it brings out a CM inner demon. It was pretty time consuming because we had to wait on every single car to unload so everyone could exit at one time. So our car unloaded and then we had to stand in a line while the cars in front of us unloaded. Hakuna Matata because we got fast passes and to that CM's dismay awesome pictures!

Oddly enough, out of all my time visiting the parks, I've never gotten stuck on a ride. Occasionally, they will breakdown right as I'm getting on (i.e. getting ready to leave the loading dock at Space and ride stops), but never had to be escorted off; it's weird.

I guess it depends on the ride, but I kind of like getting stuck/stopped, too! It feels like you're getting extra ride for your wait I especially love getting stopped on HM...I could stay on that ride all day

We've been stuck on Rockin' Rollercoaster TWICE the same night.

The first time we walked through with the lights on.

The second time our "limo" was stuck right before the red carpet.

We got fastpasses both times.

That trip we also had the photo printing computer go down at Rockin' Rollercoaster. Someone had to come and do something to the computer/ printer. Then a manager came. We were THE LAST two guests in the park and the manager escorted us out. They called a bus just for us and we were the only ones on board.

I got stuck on mission space in quite an uncomfortable spot... they hand cranked us out it seemed and got to walk on a narrow area with security there - hubby went for orange and got out first and no one told him where I was....they he noticed no one getting out of the green ride.. and it dawned on him...I was stuck! I got a FP for later use, but never got a chance to use it....I won't ride again. I was stuck in a very narrow space and while I'm not clostrophobic really - it was very uncomfortable and I could not wait to get out.

We coudl hear other people complaining from other cars while we waited our turn to get out. The others in the car were chatty and at first it helped distract me but we all wanted out NOW. Hubby wished he could have seen the 'behind the scenes' stuff...lol

I'm never riding Mission Space again. I rode the green one because I was worried about my inner ear imbalance would make me uncomfortable during the ride...sigh.

Instead we got stuck at the landing scene. Yea. talk about uncomfortable....

Me too!!! I almost didn't read this thread because I thought it would cause me anxiety while in the parks just thinking a ride could break down. But seeing that all here have lived to tell about it does make me feel better.
