We were lucky enough that the first day we saw that it we were on the first row. Absolutely loved it. my 6 year old asked to ride it again a few days later since she love the ride. This time we were in the third row and it was so odd seeing the dangling feet. It really took away from the ride.

The rumor that I read -- and I think it was the ever-present rumor mill MiceAge that circulated it, even as far back as a few years ago -- was that the new film is going to be Soarin' the World or Soarin' Over the World, set up in time for Disneyland's 60th anniversary in 2 years. The footage is yet to be filmed, but will supposedly happen soon.

Of course, none of this is official news until Disney says it is. Maybe it is something that they will speak about at the upcoming D23 Expo?

I just find it interesting that Disney wants to hang on to the California theme of DCA (however loosely) and strip away one major element that is a visual celebration of California (Soarin'). The "World" theme fits with WDW much better than it would in DCA, I think.

Luigi's Flying Tires

That is the lamest ride ever - especially lame considering Disney was building a whole new land and could have put any kind of a ride in that space. When the giant beach balls were there, it was just as lame, and slightly off-putting as people would hog the balls causing irritation to other guests. Without the balls, its just a complete waste of time in an utterly long line.

There are some rides at Disney that I like more than others, but most of them, I enjoy. I actually HATE Luigi's. (Sorry!)

Nemo is another one I will never ride again. Boring and a waste of the awesome subs.

The ride, with the 3D and the effects (wind blowing your hair when a rocket blows past you) is more interactive than Buzz.
I couldn't agree more! The wait times were long and there is no FP so we almost didn't go on it, but on the 3rd day it had been closed and reopened when we were right there, so we got in line. I giggled like a little girl the whole time and couldn't wait to do it again. My kids put it 2nd behind RSR in CA. The next day we purposely went to TSMM first thing.

It is funny how people think differently. I LOVE Luigi's. I find it so Fun. I can always get my tire moving really fast and I have a blast.

I'm not sure there's any ride I don't get. There are some I don't enjoy but I can still see why they appeal to other people. If you don't have a bad back and a fear of snakes, Indy is probably great. If open air roller coasters don't make you yark, CA Screamin is probably awesome. I don't like them but I see the appeal for others.

I think the only thing I cannot really understand why people love it is the Aladdin show, which people seem to think is amazing and I found to be truly dreadful. Between the line and the show, I wanted my 90 minutes back. But hey, it's a huge time suck and it keeps all those people off the rides for a chunk of time, so that's a bonus.

I am so with you with Aladdin. I absolutely hated it. I saw it right after it opened and I was never happier to leave a theater than after that show. Ugh it stunk. I think the only bigger stinkers I have seen Disney do is Light Magic and Toy Story on the ships
