If you think it portrays violence against women now, you would have hated it pre refurbishment when the pirates chased the women, not the other way around now.

I have two, the first one is Nemo, I only went on that one because my son really wanted to and we had already hit all the rides we wanted to hit that day. It was only a 20 minute wait so that wasn't too bad.

The other is one I have never gone on but will never go on and that is the one where you sit in a canoe and row. I have no desire to row a canoe and if I did, I wouldn't do it at DL.

True it does, but it is also about Pirates, not quite sure how they can be portrayed in a positive fashion, it's pretty dark subject matter.

What I never got was how the POTC movies are targetted at kids - my DD watched the original one when she was 10 and still she seemed taken back by some of it - but there are toys and all kinds of junk aimed at little kids when the movie is clearly above their heads.

We love it too! And coming around the corner into the stars, and then sliding down...amazing!

At DCA, I dont get Goofy Sky School. (or as I call it, the ball crusher) I always leave that ride feeling VERY uncomfortable!
DH won't go on it either, and has also given it a name (ball buster). I don't like it because of the height and feeling like every turn I will go sailing off the edge.

I didn't like it then either. I gave it a try again, hoping it would be better (for me, of course, lol), but I still just don't get it.

I have to agree with the PP about Nemo and Roger Rabbit. I loved the Nemo movie and was excited about the ride, but we have been on it once, and that is how it will stay. RR I just don't care for, can't explain it.

I also don't get Luigi's flying tires! It looks cool! Sounds cool! But if you dont know how to control the tire, you end up in a corner and you wasted your time in line! And its nowhere near as fun since the beach balls were taken out.

I am guilty of loving POTC. They are PIRATES. I didn't expect them to be too wholesome. What got me laughing so hard was the skeleton guy with the huge magnifying glass laying in bed. What was he magnifying?!

It was closed the first time we went to DL, so it was a MUST the second time around.

but if you can control your tire, and most other people can't and are all bunched up in a corner, you have almost the whole area to really FLY that tire and then it is so, so, SO much fun. Everyone always talks bad about Luigi's, but my 6-year-old and I were rockin our tire so hard this past march and we were LITERALLY flying in that thing, it was amazing fun. He still talks about it.

I guess I get why people like it, but I happily skip Star Tours 2.0. Not a Star Wars fan and it makes me queasy to boot. The new movie was not an improvement.

Ghost galaxy...

I was so excited to ride it, given that I love Space Mountain and its kitschy music...but I hated ghost galaxy, was just not my cup of tea.

I did not like ghost galaxy either. But I love Space Mountain.
I also don't like Nemo, Autopia and the Matterhorn.
