My 7 year old is a little guy, he can still wear 5T pants and shirt. I just bought him shoes from the Disney Store they are a size 13 but kind of big. His other tennis shoes were a 12 and tight. So I'd say depends on the shoes.

He sounds like one of my boys. My just turned 6 year old is 52" and just under 80#. He has massive hands and is just an all over big kid. My 8 year old is 58" and 90#...biggest in his class but I think my younger son will pass him up soon.

They get it honestly, my husband is 6'6...was 58" in kindergarten. Crazy sauce.

Going to be nice to the little guy, but he could stand to lose a few pounds.. but not a lot..

he is just huge across the shoulders and has a huge squash, wears a large helmet, which nobody else in the league under the age of 12 wears a large..

My almost 7 year old wears size 1-1.5 and is 50 lbs about 50 inches. I think he is just about normal in our area- perhaps a little shorter.

My 7 year old is tall for his age, weighs about 56 pounds, skinny, and wears a size 2 shoe.

My almost 8 year old DS (July) wears a 13.5 shoe but he is pretty small. Then again, I am only 5ft 2 and DH is only 5 ft 6, so we were never destined to have a basketball playing kid!

My DS will be 8 in August. He started the school year in a size1, with a bit of wiggle room. In Feb/March we had to buy him new tennis shoes and I think they were size 2.5. Just bought him sandals and flip flops last weekend and they were both size 3. This has been the year of the growth spurts though. When we went school clothes shopping I bought his pants a little big, by November he had outgrown them. Had to buy new pants, now those are getting to short. Can't wait for it to warm up here (WA) so he can wear shorts.lol!

Wow what are some of you feeding your kids? DD is 7 and about the same size as most of the boys in her class. She's 46", weighs 55lbs and wears a size 11.5 toddler in shoes still. She's on gym team so her weight is higher than most kids in her class because of the muscle. Her feet are small, and I think most of the kids in her class wear around a 12 toddler up to a size 2 in kid's. I'd be in big trouble if she wore a size 5.5 or something, because she'd want to start sharing shoes with me here soon.

My 7 year old wears size 3, which is bigger then his pals his age. He weighs about 70 lbs and I haven't measured him in a bit but is probably 52" as he is to my shoulder and I am 61".

I laugh because his flip flops fit me! Not that his sneaker would...I wouldn't worry about a kids size at that age as long as they are healthy and active (not sitting playing video games all day)

He is bigger then most kids but there is one in our neighborhood who goes to a different school I thought was at least 9, he's another older then my boy....but his pal from swim lessons is his age and probably 30 lbs soaking wet!

My 7 year old weighs 57lbs and wears a size 13 shoe. He's had the same size shoe for 2 years. He's tall and thin and eats like a horse.
