Planning for the most complicated scenario

I'm already super-duper excited about and planning for my very first Disney cruise in Sept. 2015 to Alaska. This will be my 30th birthday gift to myself so I'm planning on splurging big time and booking a Royal Suite. We also have some extended family who will be joining us although the exact numbers are still to be determined so I'm trying to sort out as many details as I can by imagining the most complicated scenario possible and preparing for it so anything less will seem like a piece of cake! While we are all seasoned cruisers with another line, we are still trying to figure out all the details of how things work with Disney. As this is "my project" I'm the one responsible for getting it sorted out and making sure everyone know what to do and how/when/where to do it!

At this point, my "most complicated" scenario will involve DH and I plus a few other family members in the Royal Suite. DH's parents and grandmother in a verandah room, and DH's step-sister and her two boys in an inside room. The ideal would be for the parents and step-sister to be across the hall from one another. DH's grandmother is to the age where standing or walking for too long is difficult and uses a wheelchair (her "chariot") when traveling. I'm going to be booking all of the rooms at the same time so I'm assuming we would have the same booking number (although I recognize that may be an incorrect assumption!). We will be staying at the PanPacific at least one night before the cruise so in theory that should at least help with having to haul all everyone's stuff for check-in.

I know the policy on Carnival is that if, even if you are in separate staterooms and only one of those has VIP status, as long as you are on the same shipboard account you can check in together through VIP. Does the same apply to Disney? Would we be allowed to check in together if we're all on the same booking number but use different charge accounts? And if we do all have to check in separately and they can't go through the concierge line with us, can we at least all board together? I would never ask/expect them to be able to board with us as concierge, but will we be allowed to wait on them? I would assume we could but you never know! If we do end up needing to wait, would we be better off getting in line very early and waiting to board or would it be better to wait until at least 12 and hope we could all get on together fairly quickly? From what I have read (and assuming nothing changes in the next two years) one of the "perks" of staying there pre-cruise is late check-out so we could hang out in the rooms until we're ready to go down to check in so the whole "getting there" thing isn't an issue. I know being in Vancouver and not at Port Canaveral can change things a bit.

Feel free to throw in any helpful info about things I haven't even thought to ask about yet, too!
