Can't Make Resort Reservations?

Alright, I've been trying to make a resort reservation online this morning and just keep getting the "Check Availability" buttons. After many attempts, I finally get a notice that reservations can't be made online right now. Ok, fine, I get that the website has been having some issues.

Sooooo, I called the reservations line and the automated message says that the agents themselves cannot currently make resort reservations either.

What the heck? Does that seem odd to you? Anyone else run into this?

I've been getting the same thing for the last 3 hours or so today.

DH just gave me the go-ahead last night to book for September and I was panicking that the reason was that the dates were all taken. After trying a bunch of times I concluded it's a site issue.

The entire reservation system is down for site maintenance i think until tomorrow. Phone lines won't be able to either. i think but am not sure it also effects dining.

Yikes! I'm having the same problem. Trying to make last minute dining changes and it's NOT working.

It's down for maintenance. The email that I received from Disney indicated that it should be down until this afternoon. It was a planned thing and TAs got a heads up yesterday.

Both resort AND dining ressies are affected.

That's good to know that it was planned and should hopefully be short-lived. I'll try again later today.

Usually they post notice about the site being down but I know I was on yesterday and did not see anything about it. Just glad this is not my ADR day.

Maybe they are loading the FD for next weeks anticipated release

Can't do anything with My Disney Experience regarding checking ADRs made or resort reservations either

This is the e-mail (and posted on the TA website) that Disney sent yesterday to TAs:

Disney will perform a reservation‐system enhancement beginning at 2 a.m. Eastern time (5 a.m. Pacific) on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 and lasting until Tuesday afternoon, April 30, 2013. This enhancement will allow us to better assist you and your Clients in the future.

During this time, our systems will not be fully functional and we will not be able to process:
  • Room‐only or vacation package reservations for the Walt Disney World® Resort by phone or online (including making new Resort reservations, making modifications to existing Resort reservations, providing confirmations or taking payments)
  • Reservations for dining, dinner shows, tours, recreation and children’s activity centers at the Walt Disney World Resort, as well as for Cirque du Soleil® La Nouba
  • Room-only or vacation package reservations for Disney’s Vero Beach Resort and Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort
  • Room-only or vacation package reservations for the Hotels of the Disneyland® Resort
  • Room-only or vacation package reservations for Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa
  • Clients temporarily will be unable to access Disney’s Online Check‐In Service.
We apologize in advance for any inconvenience.

This is actually affecting resort check in, as well. We moved from AoA to AKL and got here at 11:00 and have been told that the system is down and they cannot complete check in's at this time. No KTTW card, no ability to use dining plan until up and running again. Have been told to check back every hour. It is 3:30 and they are still saying no access to system. This is quite the inconvenience, especially with having the dining plan. "Pay out of pocket, you will be reimbursed some how." They say. Hm.
