How do you request a specific table???

I know I've seen this somewhere, but I can't remember... We are sailing in November on the Magic. We are a family of four, including two kids. My husband would prefer to sit at a table for four, as opposed to being part of a larger table with (gasp) strangers! This is mainly as a comfort level thing for him, as he is quiet and a bit shy. At what point in the process can I try for this? Also, how do I do so? Thanks in advance!!!

You need to call DCL (or your TA will do this, if you used one) to have the request noted on your reservation.

You can do this at any time.

You can request specific servers the same way.

One note here, only make one request:

specific server
specific asst server
specific table size
specific rotation
whatever

If you make two or more requests (like server XXX and asst server YYY), DCL won't know which is more important and won't give you either.

It's possible that a specific server won't be teamed with the same asst. Or on the rotation that you want. Or all their 4 tops are full already.

We were able to request a head server and a table to ourselves [4]. Since the head server is in charge of many serving stations, it is possible to do that combination.

We wanted only a particular rotation; we didn't care one way or another about table size. When our TA called to request it, the DCL rep said that in order for us to get our requested rotation, we should also put in a request for no-table mates, because then we would be more likely to get what we wanted rotation-wise. Nor sure if it helped, but we had a 4-top with our requested rotation.

OMG I am so glad you wrote this thread! I had no idea you could request a specific dining rotation or table size! I just got off the phone with the cruise line and got my table and the rotation request put in! Which makes me so freaking happy! We have a DS who will be three weeks shy of turning three when we go. He loved the animators palate restaurant when we did it last time so with the rotation we choose on our 7 night we will be there 3 times!
