Serendipity

Had lunch there with the kids, not impressed. Really not. Everything tasted bland and the frozen hot chocolate had whipped cream with literally no flavor. Basically disappointed, but the kids thought it was cool to go, so as long as they are happy, I'm good.

Anyone been there an actually like it?

Didn't see what all the fuss was about. Overrated, overpriced and overcrowded. It just seems to be one of those "Oh, you HAVE to go there..." places. There are very few places I'll stand in line to get in the door and that won't ever be one of them again.

DD (30-ish) recommended it. DH and I weren't impressed. I think people get caught up in the hype, but the restaurant just isn't all that it's cracked up to be.

The food wasn't great, the frozen hot chocolate was ok. But one of my favorite movies is Serendipity, so I couldn't not go. It was a lot smaller in person than it looked in the movie, but I know they filmed it on location. I wouldn't go back. I did it once, that was enough.

Oh man I love it! I get a frozen hot chocolate every time I'm in Vegas and they have yummy food items too. I've eaten there about 6 times and always try something new.

We weren't fond of it either. I went for spring break one year in high school and it was just, meh. I could spend my money elsewhere for better food!

I went years and years ago...it was ok. A cute place to eat one day but not worth going out of your way unless you're in the area.

Tried to go once and there was a SIX hour wait for a table. Needless to say, we went to one of the many other establishments Manhattan has to offer. Lol

Loved it when I was 13. Not a place for adults/people with developed sense of taste.

We have been to the one in NYC, but now we have one in Miami near South Beach. So if we are down there we may stop by.

We go for the dessert only, food is not that great.

I need to try that Chocolate Peanut butter frozen hot chocolate next time.

How disappointing! It is on my list of things to do in NY if we ever get there. I LOVE the movie so ugh, this sours me on visiting.

I hate when things like this fail expectations.

I think you should still go.
I would go for dessert only, skip the food.
Call ahead (I think I called the month before) as they use to take a few reservations per day.

That is a very good idea. We do tend to plan things very in advance when we travel. I still would like to see it and at least have a picture of me eating a frozen hot chocolate.
