Questions About Rides Closing on Paradise Pier Before WOC

I have read that certain rides on Paradise Pier close before WoC begins, but I've never seen anything listing which rides close and which ones stay open. Anyone know?

Also, how long before WoC do the rides close? For example, if WoC is set to start at 9:00, will the rides close at 9:00, or 8:45, or some other time?

Do they stop letting people in the queue before they close the ride so that people don't get stuck in the queue with the ride shut down, or do you have to take a chance and decide whether you can make it before it closes?

Thanks in advance for your answers!

The Disneyland web site lists which attractions close but doesn't say exactly when.

http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disn...lor/questions/

Will some attractions close early during World of Color?

Similar to Fantasyland attractions and Mickey's Toontown closing prior to fireworks, some attractions will close prior to the first World of Color show. These include:

Attractions closing for the show include:

California Screamin'
Games of the Boardwalk
Golden Zephyr
King Triton's Carousel
Jumpin' Jellyfish
Mickey's Fun Wheel
Silly Symphony Swings

So it looks like Carsland may be an option during WOC? And Goofy's Sky School too maybe.

It is simple! These rides close Games of the Boardwalk,Golden Zephyr,Jumpin' Jellyfish,King Triton's Carousel,Mickey's Fun Wheel and Silly Symphony Swings close before the 1st showing of WOC. Toy Story Midway Mania stay opens because it's inside and and doesn't interrupt the show, GSS stays open as well.

Carsland does stay open during WOC.

We just got back so here's how it was for our trip M-W, weekdays, non-peak season, DCA park closed at 9:00pm, WOC showed at 9:15pm:

California Screamin' closed at 8:30pm, 45 minutes before WOC (30 minutes before park closing). Mickey's Fun Wheel was also closed by 8:30pm.

Silly Symphony Swings stayed open until 9:00pm, 15 minutes before WOC.

How is the standby time for RSR during WOC? Does the show attract enough of the crowd to whittle down the wait any?

No change! There can be a slight difference at TSMM though but thats a crap shoot.

Oh and for the OP, TLM stays open as well AND CS does open up again for the last 30 mins of the night if the park stays open to 11.

On weekdays, when the park closed at 9 and WoC was 9:15, I think everything was open until 9. (Sky school closed at 9 sharp, I know, because we were trying to get one last rider swap.) Maybe the lines for the other rides close early to finish up the rides by 9? Just guessing.
