Hi Rhonna, for what it's worth, I did not read your comments in a condescending or snarky way AT ALL--only as helpful.

In fact, I was FLOORED at the response that came right after.

I'm glad you responded in such a kind and adult like manner!!!

Hey OP - here's my two cents

From someone who has booked rooms and packages at both Disneyland and Disneyworld in almost every way possible...haha.

Like previous posters, I also check room rates from AAA and in addition, kayak.com as well as Disneyland.com. Usually the rates are very similar, but sometimes you can see slight differences.

I like Kayak because it will list all the room categories and the best price available for them. It is helpful when you are trying to decide between a different type of room and don't want to spend time going back and forth on disneyland.com.

I usually book through a travel agent because I like that they keep track of any discounts that I might be eligible for, but some people like to be in control of the reservation.

The only reason I would use an outside booking website, would be if I was a part of their reward program or something where I got credit for booking there. Otherwise I would book straight from Disney.

Hope this helps!

It's hard to tell tone and intent when reading, isn't it?

Sadly, there are several people on the Dis (I'm not meaning anyone specific here), that seem to be snarky on purpose, meaning that others don't often get the benefit of the doubt!

Thanks to everyone who posted to try to help the OP. It can be tough trying to find the best rate! I've had luck with Travelocity before, but not lately, sadly. Good luck!

Yes!! This is a big issue. You can't read tone here. And I must say, I read the misquote and didn't realize the error. When read correctly, it really isn't snarky at all. I apologize for not reading the actual post more closely before responding. I do think it is odd when folks here tell people to look info up on the Internet though. I'm pretty sure everyone here knows Disneyland has their own site, so the comment did hit me in that way like, "don't you know you can look that up?" Which I just don't think is helpful. On the same note, I think many could do a simple search to find what they're looking for, but then what would we talk about?
