I believe they already said the 10k will be Saturday

I'm thinking I'll have to do the Cinderella in rags (pre-fairy godmother) running costume that I've been thinking about for a while for either the 10k or the Princess Half since the race is the Glass Slipper Challenge.

I have a hard time translating my costume ideas into reality though. Guess I need to learn to sew or to outsource!

Oh, I so like your idea. Then you could be Cinderella in her gown for the half. I am planning on doing Cinderella as well. I have my sneakers.

early registration for Glass Slipper?

isn't there some website that guarantees you a spot? I know AP holders can register prior, but thought I'd seen a website that guaranteed entry?

Oh, I didn't think of doing it that way. Perfect, I love it! I've got brown hair, but I'll make it work! I dyed my hair last year for Ariel but I am NOT doing that again...

Question for you ladies who ran last year ~ are all the resort hotels the host hotels like Marathon Weekend or is it just a few? Also, does anyone remember how much the rooms at Coronado Springs were? When I ran it the 1st year, there were only 3 host hotels and all I found online was that transportation was provided for host hotels which I already knew. Thanks!

They made all the resorts host resorts this year since it is such a huge race. I imagine they'll do the same for 2014 especially with the new race addition :0)

I really want to do the Coast to Coast and Glass Slipper, but I don't know if I can financially or physically! Glad I have a little time to think.

With the announcement of the Glass Slipper challenge I'm even more motivated to sign up for the half marathon. Though nervous, very nervous. The thought of running a 10K doesn't scare me at all though, I guess that's good.

I'm soooo excited for the new glass slipper challenge. I know I'll be able to do that one. Now to just talk the DH into letting do the tink for the pink coast to coast!

I had absolutely no intention of doing a disney race until dopey of 2015...but two races/three medals that are princess themed? I'm in!

Any tips of keeping the price tag down as much as possible? I don't really care too much about the hotel/room since between the parks and the races I won't be there for much, anyways. I don't want to rent a car, but if were any great deals to be found offsite that included transportation for the race, I would be open to that, as well. Thanks!

How far away do you live? Right now it's cheapest to drive if you live within a 13 hour drive. That's what I do. I also pack food to help cut down on the coast

That's ok, just makes a good excuse to go again the following year!
It's my first half... you should do it. I'm gonna do it. How can you miss the inaugural medal???!!!

I'm in fairfield county, ct. I don't think we'll have the time to drive since we'll be short on vacation days - I was thinking flying fri, getting the expo done and relaxing, running and parks sat/sun, park half the day on mon, and then leaving monday to go to work on tues. It's just my and fiance (no kids), so at least it's just two plane tickets as opposed to a whole family

Definitely plan on packing food - at least breakfast and some snacks in the park! Not only to save money, but to help stay on track, too. There's still plenty of junk to be had, but it helps to at least start the day off right, and at least have some snacks so you don't overeat on the bad stuff
